1. What was that argument about Hillary's 'electability', again?
I'm not seeing it.

8. Kerry couldn't lose either, according to Rasmussen. Consider the source.
I think those guys are about as inaccurate as they come. Of course, when the news favors one's own favorite, there's a desire to "believe" even if they have a shitty track record. From their April reports four years ago:

Rasmussen Reports’ daily tracking poll finds Kerry with his biggest lead over President Bush since Kerry became the Democratic frontrunner:

Bush 42%
Kerry 48%
Other 5%
Not Sure 5%

Today’s result represents a nine-point net gain for Kerry since April 1. Rasmussen attributes the Kerry gain to the trouble in Iraq which is offsetting the good economic news.

12. As I said downthread, I don't care if they have Bozo up by ten, I don't believe them.
They're a GOP outfit. If they say it, it's probably untrue or skewed in such a way to benefit GOP candidates.

25. Kerry was just on the outside of margin of error, and I'm still not convinced he lost Ohio.

39. I am not talking about the end of the line, I'm talking about "around this time" four years ago.
That was BEFORE the Swiftboating kicked in full bore, before the sing-song Fliiiiip-Flooooooooooop was heard everywhere. I'm not convinced he blew Ohio either, but the point is, if you listened to the pollsters and pundits around this time four years ago, he was gonna sail over the finish line without breaking a sweat.

Kerry was touted as "cruising to victory" and all ready to "report for duty." The crowing here ahead of the event was something, too, and anyone who piped up and said "Er, don't count those chickens, there's still work to do" was told, in classic DU fashion, that they were a freeper and needed to STFU.

It's all just a little bit of history repeating....

We get nowhere without work. No matter who ends up with the nom, this is going to be a HARD slog, one that a combined ticket might make slightly easier, but wouldn't assure.

Assumptions at this stage are simply foolish and premature, is all I'm saying.

10. I don't care if they have Bozo the Clown ten points up, I don't believe them.
They're ALWAYS wrong, right up until the end, and then VOILA! They pull out their "real" data and "claim victory" based on it.

24. 8600 votes with about 5000 for Obama in election that excluded the day shift means what?
61% - hang your hat on that - it sounds more impressive - but don't mention Dem voter registration in this GOP state.

Shit, I grew up in Michigan in a family full of Indie/Dem, gun-toting white males and this is what I've been saying would happen all along.

The Midwestern way of thinking is simply not conducive to a Clinton victory versus McCain.

kitchen sink strategy is not only kneecapping Obama, but shes also kneecapping herself! Just last week she was 6 pts ahead of McCain. This negative shit has really got to stop or we will lose the whitehouse no matter WHO it is.

33. Hillary BEATS McCain after a solid year of MSM attack ads aimed at her 24-7
See my (so far) three part journal "The Press v. Hillary Clinton". They can not cram any more attack ads into the week than have been launching at her already and she is still ahead of old "I spent Vietnam in a box so you owe me".

The woman has been vetted forward and back.
