1. Yes, yes, and yes.
It would be a horrible mistake and open up the entire process to manipulation by the Republican party.

3. How, exactly would the Republican Party be able to taint the primaries
in FL and MI, but not the rest of our primaries?

8. Are you advocating we just don't have any more primaries in FL?
If not, what's the difference between holding one now and in the future?

7. Michigan will be relatively clean. Florida can't never be trusted!
I haven't seen a clean election in Florida since 2000, the first time I paid attention to that state.

Yes, as another DUer has pointed out, Hillary is turning into a political version of Britney Spears on a meltdown.

11. When it is on the line FL is sketchy at best due the high # of counties that
use the "machines". I hate it 2000, 04 and 08 voter here - Pasco county FL.

there is one thing I do find interesting about the MI & FL results. Both states DEM turnout was less than the R turnout, these are the only 2 states that have had this happen to when you can compare D to R turnouts. I heard this yesterday on CNN I believe, and this tells me that not everyone went out and voted cause they knew it did not count.

So I am down with sticking to the rules that are in play, however I could only imagine a guess what the true the turnout would be if you could/did hold a re-vote.

12. Absolutely
They're both open primaries, aren't they? And the republicans have had such a good time (and great results) crossing over to vote in our primary elections, I'm sure they'll do it again. Does Pennsylvania have an open primary as well? If so, we are so SCREWED!

13. RE: They're both open primaries
Florida is a closed primary state and we always have both parties voting on the same day. The reason tactical voting is a worry if a another vote takes place, is 1) the Republicans already have their nominee, 2) the new primary would only be for the Democrats, 3) you must be a Democrat 29 days prior to the election deadline date if you want to vote on the Democratic Ballot. Being that this event will be so widely publicized due to the controversy surrounding it, it is inevitable that there will be huge amounts of tactical Republican voters.

Another issue of concern would be the fact that we had 8 candidates on our ballot the first time around, and if a revote were to occur, only 2 names would be on the ballot. This would in itself taint the original voice of the people and disenfranchise the candidates that were still active at the time of the election.

I know Michigan is kind of messy with so many candidates removing their names from the ballot, but Florida was a legitimate election minus the inconvenience of the date. Sadly we do still have electronic voting machines until the general election, when we will be switching over to a paper ballot with fill in the bubble “scantron type” optical scan ballots to comply with the states mandates.
