Did anyone else hear this report --
While I was driving, I heard a report that the NRA is considering endorsing Bush's opponent in the election.

They feel that the Patriot Act and other factors have invaded our privacy.

I wasn't paying strict attention as I was driving, but I was wondering if anyone else knows anything about this.

Yes. Air America reported on this story this morning.
That would be a real blow to Bush.

3. It will never happen.
Not ever.

No matter how nervous Patriot Act makes them, they would chew their own leg off before endorsing a Dem. We're the gun-grabbing party.

They could, conceivably, issue no endorsement.

I suspect they are just head-faking in an attempt to get a few key concessions.

4. Hmmm...is this what he meant by Uniter, not a Divider?
That is hysterically funny!

Kerry is a hunter isn't he?

I'll make a deal with the right. You get to keep your guns and I get to keep control over my reproductive rights.

5. Sounds like a threat--Bush will do the necessary a** kissing and NRA
will still endorse him.

6. That's GREAT!!!
I know the NRA has been pissed at Bush, but I didn't know if they'd really turn on him. They feel like he hasn't done anything for them, and feel like he betrayed promises by not acting on any of their issues.

7. The NRA is out of $.
Ergo, they have nothing to offer Bush* (and we all know you gotta pay to play with the freep regime).

8. I have my dad's April issue of "America's 1st Freedom" (the official
journal of the NRA it says). Judging from the nasty articles on George Soros AND John Kerry, I find this report hard to believe.
