Name one good thing about Bush - I dare you
that is the question a friend of mine has been asking around the university here. works bloody well too - the cons who are cons jsut because and not becasue they really think about it will pause think and come up with something ...then you send them off with some facts and websites and they maybe come back with another thing...rinse and repeat...soon they start to think and don't vote for bush...a thing of beauty truly.

30. BINGO
When I saw the title question, your answer was the very thing that popped in to my head, before I opened the thread.

Bush is mortal. Bush is not forever.

2. That's a great one because
Bush has messed up everything he's touched so dramatically, nobody can successfully defend him without tripping over their own integrity.

10. One Good Thing About George Deucey U Bush
The one good thing I'll say about George Deucey-U Bush is that he likes the musical group Asleep at the Wheel and had them play at his Inaugural Ball.

I suppose he did write a check or two to Highland Park United Methodist Church while he was attending there.

Other than that, I'd say the only good thing I can say about the incumbent as a leader is that each day that his administration is in office, it makes former president Clinton's two terms in office look better and better.

16. let me take those one by one
unemployment and job losses at record HIGHS not lows. if by economic growth you mean plummetting stock markets and outsourcing of jobs...zero inflation doesnt help if you have no money anyway as most american families dont. education spending...well that worked well in texas didnt it? and its not massive enough to fund his unworkable no child left behind act. better off than say under clinton? i think not.

now if you dont count bush's attempt to establish a theocracy change the constitution to discriminate and limit rights, invading the wrong damn country so he and his buddies can profit from it, lying about the reasons and then changing the past to fit his current needs, limiting freedoms through the patriot act, destroying the environment, appointing judges who are keen on cross burning, alienating the rest of the world, hubris of monumental degree, an inability to adapt to change (like say the end of the cold war - or better yet why keep cutting taxes when it isnt working why keep sending troops to die in iraq when it is having the opposite effect than intended) you know other than those little things, bush is an almost pleasant simpleton.

well until September 11th anyway. After that, most of his jokes are unintentional.

He'll make a great EX-p(R)esident.

He did get all over Pat Robertson's case when he said Muslims were evil, although he probably had an ulterior motive for that one,

Have you ever 'enjoyed' a beer with an alcoholic? Not for long, I bet. Unless you imagine that he's the kind of drunk who doesn't get belligerent .. ya. He starts out that way and starts out thinking he is better than everyone else.

I don't get this great American dream of drinking beer with g/whoosh. Find a bar and the biggest alcoholic in it and role play. That might change your mind.

edit: Maybe folks who make this claim enjoy watching someone fall on their noodle? That's 'fun'?

I always thought that it might be fun having dinner with Reagan back in the days before his Altzheimer's started showing itself: even if the stories weren't strictly true he could at least tell them.

34. He's classist, but not personally racist.
The one time I actually said something nice about Bush was after he snuck away to Iraq to deliver Turkeys. He and Condi Rice quietly slipped through some small private airport (or something like that), without a lot of staff around to raise attention, on their way out of Texas. After the fact, while talking about it, Bush made some comment regarding getting away without being noticed, to the effect of "We just looked like any other couple."

There, I repeated my one nice thing about George W. Bush lol. The amazing thing is it is so hard to think of something nice to say about Bush that that incident really stuck out for me.

Then again a lot of racist politicians support policies more advantageous to minorities than Bush does.

Bush tells the American people what they want to hear (usually some democrat legislation or liberal ideas) in front of the cameras and then immediate signs the exact opposite legislation off camera as sneaky as can be and people only remember what he said not what he does...Rove knows this and plans on it.
