Sure Shrub's speech may have worked for the diehards, but his performance was lousy. There are plenty of Republicans out there that yet again heard nothing new, hearing the exact same shit every time Bush opens his mouth is turning them one by one. His people have been waiting and waiting for something new to cling to and every time he says the same shit those same people loose another argument around the water-cooler the next day. People are not ignoring Iraq, and the Busheviks are digging themselves deeper and deeper. They completely underestimate the intelligence of their own people and thank Jesus they are slowly dropping like flies.

Kerry had a good response and even Matthews didn't gush over the Shrub's performance.

It is just getting harder and harder for the media to cover his ass. With the new memo's coming out with titles like, "Bin Laden threat is real" there is no way for the press to spin it. They'll try but it is not going to work.
