How can I get involved?

I live in central Louisiana and will be moving to Washington D.C. in the Fall. I would like to get involved somehow with the Kerry campaign, even if I will likely be doing an internship with a Republican congressperson. :eyes:

Can anyone point me in the right direction? And would it be unwise to take an internship with a Republican while assisting in campaigning for a Democratic president if the republican internship is a sure thing because of who my father has contact with?

will be somewhat and justifiably suspicious of anybody working for a Republican, but if you explain the situation and you're just looking to volunteer, I doubt they'll object. Why don't/didn't you apply with an internship with Breaux or Landrieu? You may not have connections, but that doesn't mean they won't pick you.

Anyway, I'd call the Kerry main number (202-712-3000) and ask to speak to Chad Lennox or whomever the intern/volunteer coordinator is at the moment.
