National Stonewall Democrats Endorse Sen. Kerry
WASHINGTON, DC – National Stonewall Democrats today announced the endorsement of Senator John Kerry for President of the United States. The announcement came after a unanimous vote by NSD’s Board of Directors. Senator Kerry will now enjoy the full support of the nation’s only organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Democrats. With more than 90 local chapters, National Stonewall Democrats will mobilize thousands of LGBT individuals in its efforts to elect Kerry. Sen. John Kerry won the backing of the Stonewall Democrats, who say they will now mobilize their members to support the Democratic candidate

“Even before his first year in the Senate almost twenty years ago, Senator Kerry has been a friend to gay and lesbian families,” said Dave Noble, NSD Executive Director. “There has never been a presidential nominee who has held such a strong record of support for our community.”

“Our community will face a critical choice this election,” Noble continued. “We are faced with an incumbent who is actively campaigning and governing against our families. With this endorsement, we hope to begin the process of uniting our community behind a candidate who respects our families. We all need to work to elect John Kerry President."
