Poll question: Would you say Hillary is a fighter?
That simple. She doesn't lay down and walk away, be it during Bill's admin, or after, or now. She is a figher, yes?

1. No
Being a schemer is not the same as being a fighter.

I bet the figures are practically identical...

13. Yes. Both
For instance, if Hillary is the nominee Obama's swiftboating of her and Bill on race may cost us the White House. He is no saint, as he is portrayed as by his campaign and perceived as among 80-85% of the blogosphere.

4. Yes....but Fred Phelps is an "impassioned speaker" too....
Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 09:53 PM by MercutioATC
No, I'm not comparing HRC and Phelps.

I'm stating that being a "fighter" is not always a positive quality. A willingness to stand up and fight (and the tenacity to continue that fight) isn't worthy of praise if the character of the fight is sleazy (IMO).

9.  Rhoda grown up
Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 09:30 PM by fadedrose
I think she reminds me of Rhoda grown up. Rhoda was a little girl in a very very old movie called "Bad Seed" or something like that.

It's the kind of relentlessness where one will do anything, anything, to get what they want. It's not the same as courage, which I usually associate with nobler goals than promoting oneself.

More like a pit bull than a St. Bernard.

11. She doesn't know her limits
I want someone with the insight to focus on the big picture, instead of just winning the next fight.

If you focus all your energy destroying opponents with questionable tactics, it is just gonna make things harder for you to win the next battle. You have to choose your battles, and never lose sight of the big picture.

19. Other: Yes.. Fighter.. as in "Hannibal Lector" was a fighter too...
She Fights - but she doesn't fight fair.. and she's more then happy to kill members of her own family for no reason at all.. it won't help her, but it seems to make her feel good about herself.

People who I view as good fighters don't fight unless they have to. Clinton seems to be content fighting just for the sake of fighting.. and that makes me dispise her.

20. I had to mark other
Because there ought to be some comment about fighting the wrong fights. Yes, she's a fighter, when her own sense of entitlement and her campaigns overall ego is at stake. I'm not sure that's something to be proud of however.

She is a tough woman over all, and that's something I really like about her. Even if I feel like during this primary season she hasn't put the good of the party or country first and I feel like she's made some big mistakes. I was proud to have her in the Senate, and there are many things I admire about her.

You could say that Monica Lewinsky doesn't lay down and walk away, but that would be a completely inappropriate sexual pun.

26. How can anyone say she isn't a fighter?
If she wasn't Obama would already be our candidate. Hasn't everyone been clamoring for her to give up the fight...but she won't! That just points out how bias some people are. If everyone was truthful...she would have received 100% a fighter! But Obamites don't want to admit she's a fighter.
