MSNBC: "Kerry: Bush manipulates fear of terror attack"
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4751171/

"NEW YORK - Democratic White House challenger John Kerry accused President Bush of manipulating fears about security and terror for political gain Thursday."

"“Home base for George Bush, as we saw to the nth degree in the press conference, is terror. Ask him a question, he’s going to terror,” Kerry said, referring to Bush’s prime-time news conference Tuesday.

“Everything he did in Iraq he’s going to try to persuade people has to do with terror even though everybody here knows it had nothing whatsoever to do with al-Qaida and everything to do with an agenda that they had preset,” he told the breakfast crowd at the restaurant 21."

It sounds like Kerry has been reviewing the boards at DU...

...and hey, that can only be a GOOD thing.

Kerry is going to have to continue to address the real issues surrounding four more years of the real GWB. Yes, he must present his own game plan and not conduct his campaign at the end of a leash held by the Bush campaign. But I like his approach here. He's in charge, and he's distancing himself from the Boy King.

Based on what I saw in this article, he's being pretty direct without stepping onto the Karl Rove Rotten S.O.B. "character assassination and/or false accusation" side of the fence. I hope to see more of this, stronger in tone as necessary, but on track, truthful, and unquestionable accurate.

:toast:

2. I wish. . .
someone would coop the phrase. . .
"a governance of fear."

'Cause that's what we've truly been living under for the last 3 &1/2 years.

3. Our Rulers by now should realize that Terrorism simply
does not have the impact the 'Evil Empire' did, with regards to keeping all us serfs in line. We have the internet, and many of us think it is a phony war. As time goes on, more and more evidence piles up, to show we are correct in being suspiscious.

We are correct in believing they do not give a damn about us. They care only for their stock portfolios, and the corporations they contain. Someday, as realization advances, there will be a reckoning. Right-wingers are getting beat at the polls all over the world...and it can happen here, too.
