I was there, but I wasn't in any of the pictures. I got to shake Teresa's hand, but Mr. Kerry was just taking too damn long down the line, and I was getting smashed up against the gate and got claustrophobic, so I just left. Also got some lovely sunburn on my neck and scalp!

That said, he gave a good speech, with lots of policy proposals and not just Bush bashing (although that went over big, of course). Beautiful day with very large crowd. Sorta freaky seeing Secret Service guys around the Cathedral of Learning.

There were some Freeper students protesting near the student union as I was leaving. One had a sign saying "Don't for a jackass! Bush/Cheney". I brandished my "Bush Whacker" at them and said, "YOU'RE the ones voting for the jackass!"

EDIT: I would also rather be voting for Dean, but will vote for a camel spider if necessary to get Bush out of the White House.

Glad it went well. And what a beautiful day! Paper said there were only 75 at the right-wing Santorum/Hart fest. Yuk.

4. And those 75 students
drove in from six local colleges! That's the best they could do?? LOL they probably dragged them to the rally.

Now let's hope everyone at the Kerry rally is registered to vote and brings some friends to register too.

6. Some of my conservative school chums
Were going to attend the Santorum/Hart hatefest outside David Lawrence Hall. When told of this, I bit my tongue and said nothing. I just DO NOT GET IT. (Of course, one of them is the daughter of a Republican candidate for PA Attorney General and the goddaughter of Tom Ridge; somehow she manages to remain a decent person, although her allegiances are clearly misplaced!)

10. I would have been
But I was still living in Wichita at that time. It's nice to live in a place where (Democratic) politicians actually come to visit!
