6. kerry never said baker for sec of state, he was talking about israel
i don't care whether you all don't like him. he had a lot to do with starting peace negotiations between israeli and palestinians. it didn't start when clinton got into office, it started with the first bush administration. but pro israeli jewish groups don't like baker because he is seen as too pro palestinian. arabs and muslims like him though.

he mentioned jimmy carter and bill clinton also. pro israel jewish groups objected to carter and baker .

10. Why in God's name would they object to Carter?
He's the only President who ever successfully brought peace to Israel with a formerly hostile neighbor. Egypt in this case. (Clinton likely would have succeeded, if the Likud neocon shitballs hadn't murdered Rabin.)

8. Al Gore would be indeed, plus it would make the RW writhe in
their own vile hate. (nice thought)

Holbrook is a fine choice. I can see Holbrook as Sec of State.

I recall reading somewhere that Kerry will appoint Bill Clinton to a position, foreign affairs, I believe.
This was early in Kerry's campaign, I do not have a link though.

12. Joe Biden
He is the ranking Democratic member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The Governor of his state is a Democrat, so he would be replaced by a Democrat.

14. Quite likely. Hart or Holbrooke, imo.

Although, I must admit that, IF we are to be stuck with a Homeland Security czar I'd trust and PREFER Hart more than anyone else in that position.

Well respected and actually not frightening partisan on defense issues. Sound mind, not a chicken hawk...served in WWII. Plus, you have to throw the opposition party a bone. The Big Dog named a Repug---Bill Cohen Sec of D.

He knows all the International players. He's be terrific.

Holbrook would be a good choice, too. But I do want to see Clark in Kerry's administration. His talents should not be wasted.

21. Agreed, Clark comes with such impeccable credentials and
...and ya just can't beat a smile like that!

He could fit well into many positions in Kerry's cabinet.
I have no doubt that Clark will be staying on in the Kerry camp.
