Personally, I think Joe was wrong to think they didn't want to talk about it. I think they didn't think they COULD talk about it, and now Obama has given them permission to. That said, we'll have to see how it plays out.

"ain't I cool" attitude this evening. This speech today shook him. I do think that the nation is waking up to the realization that we are no longer in the 1960s or the 1990s--we're very much in the 21st century. The old fights and divisions are not playing the same way.
