Edwards to address Ohio Democrats
The pollsters and pundits say Ohio may be the most competitive state this year's presidential race, and that's where Sen. John Edwards will be Saturday. The Tar Hell Democrat who ran for president and is now a serious contender for vice president will be the keynote speaker at the Ohio Democrat State Dinner in Columbus.

Nobody knows for sure when Sen. John Kerry, the Democrats' presidential-nominee-to be , will pick a running mate. But Edwards has made it to the so-called "vetting " stage- that's when Kerry aides take a close look at your background -along with Rep. Dick Gephardt,D. Mo., another unsuccessful president contender, and Iowa Gov.Tom Vilsack.

One big thing Edwards has going for him is that he can raise campaign cash. During his presidential run, he raised $21, 913,453 from individual contributors. About 10 percent of that came from donors in North Carolina, according to Political Money Line.

From Charlotte observer, however I typed this in.

2.  I think he will be.
Just watching Kerry with Edward, it looked like a father and son. I am a pretty good judge of people, I think the first on the ticket should be Kerry,( I think what you see in Kerry is a caring person confident and poised. that is what the South likes in a leader or used to) and the second John Edwards, I also like the Doctor and Clark, they all need to work to get this mess straightened out. Dean , Clark ,Gep,Dennis,Carol, and last but not least Al Sharpton is going to have to help get Kerry to the White House.

5. Older/younger brother. More like JFK and RFK.
What a team.

6. But I heard something discouraging today that Kerry isn't
fond of Edwards personally. I hope that this wouldn't get in the way of him not picking Edwards because it looks like a great team.

7. That's some media BS. Consider what you know as fact:
During the primaries, before and after every debate, Kerry and Edwards chatted, yucked it up. Many pictures were published, often asking "Is this the ticket?"

The night Edwards made his concession speech in Ohio, Kerry INVITED news cameras into his hotel room to watch him watching Edwards - highly unusual. Kerry was sending a strong message, and offered extremely positive commentary during Edwards' speech.

The media are just trying to stir up some crap (don't believe your lying eyes!)

4. I'm glad he is there
because apparently the Kerry campaign is not well organized as yet in Ohio and this is a key state with the loss of manufacturing jobs can be won if it is targeted.
