You all waited for Kerry to strike back.
He now appears to have enough funds to buy ad time and define himself.

Here are the first two ads.

Apparently the campaign just bought the biggest add buy in Presidential political history. Good stuff.

Really good biography ads, I think.

Sorry if dupe.

5. Those are GREAT!!
Glad to see him doing some 'defining'!! Excellent, and positive ads. I like the bit in the first one about how we are a nation of optimists, and we need to believe in ourselves again :D

13. I love these ads!!!
These are terrific ads and well worth the wait. Hopefully they will be able to counter some of the lies and filth of the Republican mean machine.

They're not exactly founts of objectivity--well, next to the twins maybe they are...

9. You should start a campaign for objectivity in political advertising.

8. Now he needs to have some ads
that point out W's failings. The electorate needs to be reminded that under the previous president (a Democrat, how odd) we had peace, prosperity, full employment, and a budget surplus. We now have war and more war, rising deficits, the worst job losses since the Great Depression. A simple, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" ought to be enough, but all the rest should be hammered home.

Kerry ought to see if he can get invited to a funeral or two. He wouldn't have to use it himself in an ad, but word would get out. Then an ad simply pointing out that W hasn't attended a single funeral would be enormously effective.

12. Good ads
I like the ads, but he needs to do more, especially here in Michigan. According to the latest CBS/NYT poll, Kerry is up by 2 points, but that could change. Right now, Kerry needs to put out ads more clearly defining specific stances he takes and responding to specific claims made by the Bush camp. With the tons of money he has, he should be better able to do this. I discussed this last week on my blog:

16. His speech today
At the Anti Defamation League tore Bush apart without mentioning his name. It was eloquent, well pointed, and he inferred to his actually flying a plane over Israel, not pretending to land one on an aircraft carrier.

17. better, but one line pissed me off....
"He broke with his own party to vote for a balanced budget"

When have republicans ever been for a balanced budget?

It plays into the Dems are big spenders theme.

I like how they are very complementary, but different. It reinforces the general theme while getting additional, excellent facts out there.
