All I wanted is an answer to the question: Is there a news conference scheduled for Tuesday in which Kerry is being dissed?
1. First, I posted part of the article on LBN because the event was to occur on Tuesday. I posted part of the article so that whoever was in the know about Kerry’s activities could see the factual claims that were being made, to wit:
“Kerry 'Unfit to be Commander-in-Chief,' Say Former Military Colleagues (CNSNews.com) - Hundreds of former commanders and military colleagues of presumptive Democratic nominee John Kerry are set to declare in a signed letter that he is "unfit to be commander-in-chief." They will do so at a press conference in Washington on Tuesday. ‘What is going to happen on Tuesday is an event that is really historical in dimension,’ John O'Neill, a Vietnam veteran who served in the Navy as a PCF (Patrol Craft Fast) boat commander, told CNSNews.com. The event, which is expected to draw about 25 of the letter-signers, is being organized by a newly formed group called Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.”
It seems to me that it is always wise to present an exact source when asking a question.
2. The moderator said that my post was inappropriate.
3. Ergo, I re-posted essentially the same question and quote on General Discussion: Campaign 2004. I got a bunch of posts which were less than enlightening. The moderator again said that my post was inappropriate. I tried to use the “Reply” button, but there was no “Reply” button.
4. Ergo, I re-posted essentially the same question and quote again on General Discussion: Campaign 2004. Again, the post was deemed inappropriate, and so the Reply button could not be used. Again, I got a bunch of posts which were less than enlightening.
5. Ergo, this post.
6. Apparently, no one on this site is in the know about Kerry’s activities on Tuesday, which is the question I originally asked.
7. The moderators on this site might want to review the differences among (1) factual claims; (2) opinion/value claims; (3) conceptual/definition claims.
8. This post will probably be deemed "inappropriate" because of the quote above even though this quotation is necessary to get a coherent answer to my question.
