Will any prominent Repub turn on BushCo?
If things get worse out of Iraq, could we get our own version of turncoat Zell Miller from the repugs?

If so, here are my nominees:
Senate: Chafee, Snowe, Hagel
Media: Buchanan, Will, O'Reilly

All of these people want to be on the winning side. All have expressed some "concerns" about the admin.
Will any of them ever get to the "tipping point" and publically say they no longer support BushCo?
Or is this just extremely wishful thinking on my part?

Other nominees?????

1. John McCain
will condemn Bushco if they don't get to the bottom of what happened at Abu Ghraib. Remember he was a POW himself for years. He understands, more than any of those idiots do.

2. Not a chance
These monsters march in lockstep, just like so many goose-stepping Nazis. If it's true that there's a Dark Side to the Force (and it is), then the Repukelican party represents its public face.

7. Chafee is NOT a monster. He's a very good man who has infuriated *
over and over. He almost always votes with Dems. For some reason he's still hanging onto his old style Republican roots. I believe he will switch if its a choice of our country being totally destroyed or rejecting his family legacy.

3. I thought they already had. There are several books out by some heavy-
hitter Republicans and they have not really and truly done the job. I think Bush's proclaimations that he is doing God's will outweighs everything else.

5. Don Rumsfeld
There's no honor among thieves. If Bush hangs Rummy out to dry, watch Rummy turn on him. That's why Rumsfeld won't resign - Bush may want him to go, but he's much less of a liability on the inside.

6. I have written a letter to McCain
asking him how he can possibly continue to support the * after this debacle if the * doesn't step up to the plate and accept responsiblity. To do so would put any future US detainees in potenially a deadly situation. The only thing the US can do to start healing it's image around the world is the referemdum to remove the leader who took the US into this war. The world needs to know that the Majority of the American people do not support this administration and their policies while it still reserves the right "to defend herself" as every soverign nation does. I also said that his acceptance by the moderate swing voter could help to start the healing by stepping away fron supporting the *. "Mr. McCain I would think that you owe this much to the legacy of the United States Armed Forces who did not leave you behind", every future detainee deserves the same chance you had.
