Obama superdelegate wavering, will vote for Clinton if she wins his state

--snip-

Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD) -- also a Democratic superdelegate from South Dakota -- supports Sen. Barack Obama for president, but political strategist Steve Jarding told the Sioux Falls Argus Leader that Johnson will vote for Sen. Hillary Clinton at the national convention if Clinton wins the June 3 primary in South Dakota.

Said Jarding: "This might be one where she could surprise people."

2. So what does Johnson himself say?
You've told us what some political strategist says about how Johnson will vote...does that mean anything?

I declare that Johnson will endorse Mike Gravel....doesn't mean it will happen.

And I echo Mercutio, did Johnson say this?

Besides, what's with the Cheneyism, "so?"?

btw, when you -snip- you usually provide a link. got that link?

on edit: besides that, I could respect Johnson for saying he'd vote for the candidate that his constituents voted for. I certainly respect Barbara Boxer for her integrity in that regard. I would only hope that all of the super-delegates vote with their constituents. and yes, that includes Sen. Kennedy.

34. jarding is a habitual Obama basher and has no connection to Johnson
This is what Johnson says

“I'm supporting Senator Barack Obama in his race for the presidency because he is in a unique position to reach across party lines and unite our country,” said Senator Johnson. “The problem with Washington has become the increasingly partisan nature that produces more roadblocks than results. I believe Senator Obama is a candidate of change who will bridge the partisan divide and deliver progress for our nation.

7. All the more reason to keep on keepin' on
Hillary camp is tough. They're taking the slings and arrows of Obama crew saying, "you must concede, now"

But they are playing it smart and working it right. June 3 SD....June 7th Puerto Rico.

It ain't over.

Not by a long shot.

30. Just a SUSA poll sowing Obama winning...
against McCain... which suggests some strength... most in the media assume Obama will win... and Obama has one ALL the surrounding states two to three deep in every direction. :)

19. I read that too. No big surprise really and it speaks to a trend that is likely to continue.
Not all of them are going to come out and say it like Johnson did, but that quiet pitter patter of feet in the background is the Supers heading for Hillary's corner.

33. Agree as well
That means Ted Kennedy should support Hillary AND...

From my home state - Sens. Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray (both declared Hil supporters) need to switch to Obama. He won here 68%-32%.

The politicians must represent the will of the people!

...which is aligning with the will of the voters in that superdelegate's state/district.

I hope my state senators, Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, make that same consideration for the will of their constituents, given that Obama won 38 or our 39 counties here in Washington state.

On Edit: I see a fellow Washingtonian thinking what I was thinking!
