Mitt Romney was in Law School when the Mormon Church gave
up institutionalized racism. He stated that when he heard that blacks would be allowed full status in the church that he pulled his car to the side of the road and wept. He attended an openly racist church for approximately 24 years, before they changed- never quit, never objected.

Obama has been with a church whose pastor can be said to have unorthodox (but defensible) views on occassion, for approximately 20 years. Where was Sean Hannity and Bill OReilly's outrage when Mitt was the conservatives Great White HOpe? Where was the press all over this???

2. in Romney's case, ,they were already biased against him for being Mormon
a better comparison would be to the Pat Robertsons nad Jerry Falwell types who go on about how we deserved to be attacked on 9/11 because gays were allowed at disney world.

3. Robertson blamed Florida forest fires on gays at DIsney land and
Katrina was a result of gays at Mardi Gras. I think Falwell blamed America's general corruption for 9/11.

4. The analogy falls apart since there is only one LDS Church and there are lots of different Baptist
churches. That doesn't mean the entire episode with Obama's church wasn't a phoney
