Restaurant conversation in PA!
Instead of coooking Easter dinner, we had reservations...

At a lovely restaurant in Pennsylvania. We didn't intend to
'eavesdrop' but when we heard the topic (Obama) we tuned in.

This table- 3 middle aged women, and a white haired man in
jeans had an animated conversation about Obama, and
it was all good.

This was not in an urban area, but in a rural area
of northern Bucks county, at one time strong repubican turf
But gradually this area is... turning purple.

To hear Obama talk among the people.. is good!

1. Actually isn't Bucks county
supposed to be Obama country? It's a Philly suburb and went for Kerry in 2004 also no?

3. Bucks has gone purple....
but some claim is strong Hillary territory...

I've seen more Hillary posters than Obama hardware...
for now....

2. What's amazing is how Obama is able to reach out to people of all stripes
Some people who were even fiercely loyal to the Clintons at one time.

Even the most vocal, disgusting RWers have accidentally praised Obama at least once. The Chris Wallace thing was amazing.

8. So it's a bad thing that Rep voters in a swing state could back a Dem?
I kind of like the notion that a Dem could move folks thought to be calcified in their thinking. Hope can truly be transfiguring (cynicism is disfiguring).

9. I'm in Central Montco
not far from Bucks Co.

And I've hardly seen any signs for any candidates yet.

Of course if we based it entirely off of lawn signs, Ron Paul would be our next President, I think
