Mrs. Clinton praises soldiers' efforts

By The Associated Press

MARKOVICI, Bosnia-Herzegovina - Protected by sharpshooters, Hillary Rodham Clinton swooped into a military zone by Black Hawk helicopter Monday...

Mrs. Clinton became the first presidential spouse since Eleanor Roosevelt to make such an extensive trip into what can be considered a hostile area, though others have visited hot spots.

... a grueling goodwill tour designed to boost troop morale in Bosnia and highlight efforts by Bosnians, Croats and Muslims to resolve deeply held differences.

Standing on a dusty, makeshift boardwalk near an out-of-the-way military hospital...

"It's not going to be easy," she said, pointing to the flight of Serbs from areas of Sarajevo they held as the city came under Bosnian control. "Feelings are very deep. There is a lot of pain. There is a lot to get over - a lot to forgive if there's going to be reconstruction and reconciliation."

But this was a day of celebration and celebrities - a day for the U.S. troops helping to uphold the Bosnian peace accord. Mrs. Clinton hosted a USO show with comedian Sinbad and singer Sheryl Crow and briefly addressed the gathering...

But the highlight of her trip were visits to two fortified posts outside the U.S. base in Tuzla. Even President Clinton, restricted to the base by bad weather in January, did not see as much of this war-wracked region as Mrs. Clinton did Monday...

10. There is NO evidence of Obama taking illicit money.
If you think there is, please post a link to that.

7. Is this a serious post?
Given the recent revelations Hillary was being less than honest about the Bosnia trip, it seems odd to be touting it. And you do know about these guys and what's-his-name Hsu, don't you?

Eugene Lum: Clinton/Gore campaign contributor and colleague; felony conviction; money laundering (Los Angeles Times, "First Fund-Raising Sentences Meted Out" September 10, 1997)

Nora Lum: Clinton/Gore campaign contributor and colleague; felony conviction; money laundering (Los Angeles Times, "First Fund-Raising Sentences Meted Out" September 10, 1997)

Johnny Chung: Clinton/Gore campaign contributor and colleague; many visits to Clinton White House and Oval Office with mainland Chinese associates; several illegal campaign contributions, money laundering, tax fraud, and bank fraud guilty pleas (Associated Press: "Democrat Fund-Raiser Pleads Guilty" March 17, 1998)

Roger Tamraz: Clinton/Gore campaign contributor and colleague; many visits to Clinton White House and Oval Office; fugitive from Lebanon embezzlement convictions; target of French government financial investigation; BCCI connections (The Wall Street Journal: "Integrity of the Institutions" March 20, 1997, et. al.)

13. So you make a negative smear of Obama
and a positive comment on Clinton. You know I could respect that, except you failed to provide a single link for the Obama smear but managed to find one for the Hillary compliment. Any reason for that?

14. How sad
that you can't just say something positive about the candidate you support.
You feel the need to unnecessarily slam another candidate. Very sad indeed.

16. I'VE BEEN IN A LOT OF WAR ZONES - I'D REMEMBER IF I GOT SHOT AT AND HAD TO RUN FOR IT. COME ON
I'm in music. Toured with the USO for 2 years. All kinds of 'hot spots'. North Korea, on the border of the Soviet Union, Africa.

Sorry, this seems like one more exaggeration.

North Ireland (debunked), NAFTA (she worked for it), and now her story about Bosnia.

I'm sorry. She cannot win - It's a mathematical impossibility She's lost the election.

Obama won it fairly and squarely without using the same tactics TWO Clinton's used on him this primary season.

Time for Sen. Clinton to salvage her reputation and be a good Senator from NY. Otherwise, she'll lose all credibility in the Democratic Party and sink the party for he own ego. She needs to maintain some semblance or dignity. She has not been truthful about her experience or experiences. It's time she saves herself by bowing out gracefully, or forever tarnish the Clinton's as bad sports and ego driven politicians who's main allegiance is to themselves.

That would be a shame. I still have some respect for them, but it's fading fast this year

:-)
