Kerry is our candidate and so I'm going to vote for him. I would have voted for Clark or Edwards or Sharpton or maybe even Lieberman, too, because I am a Democrat. I notice there's a great big world surrounding all four sides of this here computer. DU is great, but it's a cyberworld and I try to keep it in that context. Here in Saginaw (as always, the Center of the Universe), I have a party to get ready for (see below) and there's still grass to cut and floors to mop and cats to feed. There's always bills to pay and someone has to do the grocery shopping. Friends come by and there's stuff on PBS I want to see and -- goodness -- I surely do seem to find lots of activities that have little to do with politics. It was a lot of fun to debate possible nominees here in January and February (I supported Clark at the time), but the primaries are effectively over, Kerry's our boy and that's that. Frankly, I really don't pay much thought to Kerry's particular positions. I know the positions of his alternative are far worse. All I'm waiting for now is the November election so I can cast my vote for the Dem. I know that's simplistic and naive and neanderthalic and that's cool by me. That's an advantage of being a fifth-generation Democrat. I don't HAVE to think deep thoughts about it. John It is now 38 days, 21 hours and 21 minutes to FUNDAY. Hope to see everyone there.
