"Cheney spent Wednesday, the 5th anniversary of the war, not mourning the dead he killed, but fishing off the Sultan of Oman's royal yacht."

I truly believe Bush and Cheney are just waiting to pull the Iran trigger based on some sort of Iran aggression and therefore know full well that McCain -- the newest hand puppet -- will be elected. Either by voters in panic or by hacked election vote tabulators.

Also, I know in my Democratic heart of hearts, there's just no way they're going to let anyone win who might do any investigating of them.

(1) Worried Yet? Saudis Prepare for "Sudden Nuclear Hazards" After Cheney Visit

I. One Tick Closer to Midnight
Last Friday, Dick Cheney was in Saudi Arabia for high-level meetings with the Saudi king and his ministers. On Saturday, it was revealed that the Saudi Shura Council -- the elite group that implements the decisions of the autocratic inner circle -- is preparing "national plans to deal with any sudden nuclear and radioactive hazards that may affect the kingdom following experts' warnings of possible attacks on Iran's Bushehr nuclear reactors," one of the kingdom's leading newspapers, Okaz, reports. The German-based dpa news service relayed the paper's story.

(2) US Gen. Petraeus “thinks” Iran is behind Green Zone attack

Source: BBC
The most senior US general in Iraq has said he has evidence that Iran was behind Sunday's bombardment of Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone.

Gen David Petraeus told the BBC he thought Tehran had trained, equipped and funded insurgents who fired the barrage of mortars and rockets.

(3) So? ...

It would have to happen on Easter Sunday, wouldn't it, that the 4,000th American soldier would die in Iraq. Play me that crazy preacher again, will you, about how maybe God, in all his infinite wisdom, may not exactly be blessing America these days. Is anyone surprised?

4,000 dead. Unofficial estimates are that there may be up to 100,000 wounded, injured, or mentally ruined by this war. And there could be up to a million Iraqi dead. We will pay the consequences of this for a long, long time. God will keep blessing America.

And where is Darth Vader in all this? A reporter from ABC News this week told Dick Cheney, in regards to Iraq, "two-thirds of Americans say it's not worth fighting." Cheney cut her off with a one word answer: "So?"

"So?" As in, "So what?" As in, "F*** you. I could care less."

snip-

Cheney spent Wednesday, the 5th anniversary of the war, not mourning the dead he killed, but fishing off the Sultan of Oman's royal yacht. So? Ask your favorite Republican what they think of that.

1. I'm sure they have nefarious plans...
You just don't work so hard to subvert the American constitution and our democracy to just give up all your ill-gotten gains. These people scare me.

3. The fact that Dems never addressed election fraud astounded me - do they really not understand?
And if they do understand - and didn't fix it - that's even more frightening for the people of this country.

2. Nothing to add to your post other than you have hit on all cylinders.
You are right, they will do anything and everything in their power to stop any investigations. They might be able to do that with the presidential candidates but I still feel the Dems will gain seats in the house and senate which will help. Also, the one other thing in our favor is that McCain is the candidate instead of Romney or some other crazy neo-con. That said, I too think they will do something like attack Iran, hoping the fear card will play well and who else but John McCain, war hero to guide us through another mess.

Who knows but I have been disappointed in our Dem leadership as far as what they have done so far. I hope our next congress is not so meek and certainly hope America has woke up to what has been going on around them.
