Why are People So Offended By Being Put on "Ignore?"
Is it because your childish ways won't have their full effect when half the regular posters are ignoring you? Or is it because others want to force the negativity on everyone else? I don't come here to read race-baiting (when the Wright controversy was stronger), troll-baiting, anger-filled posts. Last week was utter chaos on GD:P when half the threads at the top were of that nature. Why do people think the "Let It Sink" campaign got started? People get tired of the high school games and seek to erase the trouble-makers altogether. Everyone who posts here on a regular basis knows there are a select few people who love to annoy everyone else. Well, there's a solution to that problem. And if some here don't understand that...tough. No one is forcing you to ignore people.

1. Because it's all about MEEEEEE!
Because if you ignore MEEEEE you will not be awestruck by my brilliance and I will not be able to bask in the glorious knowledge that I am transmitting enlightenment to the unwashed likes of you. Don't ever forget -- DU is here just for MEEEEE!

2. I don't know.
but I think it's kinda funny that the people jumping up and down complaining about ignore lists are being ignored by the people that they are upset with for ignoring them.......

12. Try and send a pm to that poster.
If it says they don't accept pm's, then you're ignored. :)

7. I think it's a Clintonesque sense of entitlement
that if they're going to throw a tantrum, everyone should be subjected to it. After all, what good is a tantrum without an audience?

only to find out they were LONG TERM DUers posting the lurid and sleazy lies of the GOP

How long have ya'all been infiltrated?

Or is it just that the Democratic Party has been sabotaged for a long time?

11. Being put on IGNORE is a badge of HONOR.
It goes to show how many people here wear blinders, and are indifferent if not militantly opposed to differing points of view.

I saw a commercial once by Benneton: When my parents hate my clothes... THEY'RE PERFECT.

Ignore me. Ignore my contribution to the democratic process.

Then go fuck yourself and crawl back under your favorite rock.

13. If you have a problem with Ignore lists...then send a formal complaint to the Mods
You can't force me to listen to people who do nothing but troll day in and day out. No more than someone can make me listen to Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage. I don't have time for people's games...sorry if they get offended by it. I'll debate with people who WANT to debate instead of smear. 5 out of the 13 people on my List are now banned...what does that say?

17. What does that say...
In the game of baseball, you need only be right 1/3 of the time to get into the Hall of Fame. You're batting .385. I'm not sure what that says about you other than you're on track to make it into the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

I don't bother the Mods with trivial things such as who's making/circulating ignore lists. I've not the time, nor the inclination.

I love rock and roll. I hate commercials. Sometimes during commercials I might pause on stations that broadcast tush limpballs or the savage idiot. But only for temporary relief from commercial advertisemtnt.

What does that say about you? It says that you're a good judge of people.
