Poll question: True extent of "list" activity.

I'm posting this poll to try to find out whether this "mass ignore list" is a genuinely widespread phenomenon, or whether it is mostly rumors and whipped up hysteria.

This poll is not about your own personal ignore list. It only concerns ignore lists that are being passed around, or that are intended for sharing.

This is the first poll I've ever posted, so please be gentle with me.

PS, if you have participated in any "list" related activities, could you please post the details. Thanks.

1. How gentle should I be
I never heard of such a list until Hillary people published it here three times accusing people of using it. I think it was another one of those cases of projection. About 1/3 of the names on the list matched my 10 person ignore list but that's because those people never contribute anything worth reading. The need to blame vast conspiracies for political and moral failures has gotten really tiresome.

31. This strategy was developed by Mark Penn and Karl Rove himself in response to
the wailing and whining of the paid internet bloggers from sites such as HIS44 and HillaryHub. When it appeared as if the Progressives at DU were going to stop responding to their flamebait Talking Points, thereby rendering all threads to the back burner, Rove and Penn developed the "I am victim of IGNORE strategy", based on the New Hampshire Diner theme.

They will send in temporary replacements for the "striker/victims" of this fake DU plot.. still managing to infiltrate the boards while maintaining an air of Victim.

Just like Hillary. Do Anything. Lie. Cheat. Anything.

15. What really blows about this is that no matter the answer the truth is awful.
If this list exists, it's terrible, if it doesn't exist, then it's a terrible, shitty tactic to sow even more discord in this place. It's lose/lose :-(

16. Yes. I need people with "list" experience to post details here.
Otherwise, they could just as easily be disgruntled Hillary supporters trying to make Obama supporters look bad. I'm not saying that's actually happening, just that it would clear up any suspicion if people would post details.

29. I haven't seen a list - but - I would bet they had one
I have seen so many noteworthy posts sink for the past month on here without comments. I know the game was being played to kick posts so the more thoughtful ones or the pro Obama posts would quickly sink for quite some time. I know this because I watched it happen. I self kicked 3 times from the 2nd page down while they kicked their useless posts just to see how hard they tried to hide it. It had to have been a concerted effort.

36. Noteworthy posts and threads sink here all the time, and flamebait ones get kicked.
That's not a concerted effort, that's the human need to respond to something interesting and inflammatory rather than taking the time to think up a thoughtful response to a thoughtful comment.

There are no concerted efforts on DU. Or if there are, they involve maybe five sniggering assholes who do it for maybe twenty minutes and then go have a beer in their respective towns or turn on the game.

I don't have anybody on ignore. Nobody has emailed or PMed or pigeon-flown me or otherwise smuggled me any list of any kind. I haven't seen anybody talk about any such list except the people who have heard about the list and are sure it exists but can't seem to provide any links or evidence of the list's existence.

The whole thing is a mirage perpetuated by hysteria. There is no List.

This would be laughable if it weren't so pointless. Come to think of it, that makes it laughable.
