...if you did not include the part on how you had to sit on your flak jacket during your drive and and that you did stop on the way to safety to hear an 8-year-old read a poem to you.

It's the details that are lacking in what you told your co-workers that leave your story without real depth. If this had really, really happened to you, those details of this harrowing event would have just fucking flowed!

9. Dude, I took heavy fire on my way into work this morning

I had to dive behind a barricade and fire off a couple grenade rounds from my M1A1 SOPMOD.

Then I had to somehow find a rifle and pick off the snipers in the surrounding buildings.

WHY DOESN'T ANYONE BELIEVE ME
