Obama Within TEN Points in Pennsylvania!!!!
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Pennsylvania shows Hillary Clinton leading Barack Obama 49% to 39%. That’s little changed from earlier in the month when Clinton led 51% to 38%.

In the Keystone State, Clinton is now viewed favorably by 68% of Likely Democratic Primary Voters. That’s down from 76% in the previous survey. Obama is viewed favorably by 71%, a figure that is little changed from 71% earlier in the month.

while Hillary is not, and he is at about the same place he was at the first of the month. Hillary is waiting till the last ten days or so to advertise. She's not being funded by Republicans, so she has to be more careful how she spends her money.

The previous poll was taken before the Wright controversy, so it's good to see that he gained a couple points instead of losing ground. If he can cut that lead a couple more points he could make a respectable showing.

National numbers don't look so great today though :(

Once Obama hits PA hard, and the numbers continue to drop and all the polls show him within 10 points or God forbid (for them) a slight lead...PA will become irrelevant. Even Ed Rendell doesn't believe Clinton will win by 28 points.

30. likely voters
i think that their definition of who is a likely voter is probably off. i think that most of the polls are having trouble getting the tsunami of new voters factored into their methods. so, i suspect that this is significantly underestimating obama's support. as most of the polls have. only a few have predicted the pummelings he has handed out so far.

41. Yes!!! Considering the experience I'm having here in Pittsburgh and the surrounding suburbs, I'm not
surprised. I, personally, signed up over 100 new voters, the majority for Obama. They were mostly first time voters (I was canvassing campus ares) and former independents. Now, we have to make sure that everyone registered shows up to vote. I hope the polls don't show much more good news for Obama, because I don't want any supporters to become complacent, thinking that he has it in the bag and that their vote isn't needed.

If it's now 49-39%, that means there are 12% of voters who are still undecided. A sizable chunk of these could swing towards Obama.

47. If he can hold a 10 point loss, he'll be in good shape
Pennsylvania is a perfect state for Clinton, so as long as he doesn't lose by more than 20 points, I wouldn't worry about the state. She'll net a maximum of 30 delegates, which while an "ouch" doesn't put a big enough dent in his lead to make much of a difference.

If he can keep it to low double digits, we're sailing to the White House.

This telephone survey of 690 Likely Democratic Primary Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports March 24, 2008. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

thought it would have been at least 1000.

If I recall back in the 2004 race for the Democratic nomination, you always had the latest poll having Dean leading quite often. Are you sure you are not a jinx to your candidate? Look what happened to Dean in the first primary. You seem to pick the losers....... http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/pa/pennsylvania_democratic_primary-240.html

76. booyakasha!!! If Obama is within single digits of HC in PA on the 22nd ...
... he will have effectively put an end to the campaign. Party elders will put HC's campaign down at that point, if they don't do it before PA should she continue with her current behavior.

77. Don't fall for this Obama supporters; Rasmussen is a Republican pollster
He's probably trying to increase expectations for Obama so it'll look like a Clinton surprise win. Obama is still well behind in PA. The good news is that he doesn't need to do that well to hold onto the lead.
