State by state...

Clinton is ahead in electoral votes and would win against McCain if the GE were held now.

Obama is behind in electoral votes and would lose against McCain if the GE were held now.

21. To provide comfort and boost morale of troops in a war zone.
First Lady flies into a war zone as a civilian, voluntarily, to provide comfort and boost the morale of the troops stationed there and all the Obama people want you to think of that fact is that it wasn't dangerous.

Did the Rezko amounts received by Senator Obama change again this week?

24. She DID fly in to Boznia, to boost morale of the troops
If her story had stopped there, it would have been commendable. Hell, when I got to see Bob Hope's show pass thru the airbase up the road from me, my morale WAS raised for a couple hours at least...

Unfortunately, she pushed it into self-serving fiction. Consequently, the good thing is foreclosed by the bad thing of her...what shall we call this? Hyperbole? Embellishment? Faulty Recollection? Mis-speak? or just self-serving lying?

I understand fully the problem of wanting a resume that is better than you've got. I also understand why people get punished for trying to use them.

26. The story DID stop there
That's the story - First Lady flew into war zone to boost the morale of the troops stationed there. Judging from what you wrote, you are a Veteran as am I, and it has been my experience that when flying into war zones the topic of sniper fire is not taken lightly. She landed by plane then had 2 additional chopper landings. Sniper fire was definitely warned about because if it wasn't then some bird colonel wasn't doing his job properly.

Of course the Obama campaign and the GOP are going to point out errors in her words about the trip, which WAS dangerous and was for the purpose of providing comfort and aid and to imporve the morale of the troops stationed in a war zone. That's the part of the story they want you to ignore.

29. No it didn't end there. She's told the story near half a dozen times
and it keeps getting more and more embellished. She's exceeded the real story, which had some real worth.

5. The polling showing that Michigan is in play, shows that we are in serious trouble.
Hillary will not win West Virginia or Florida, and Nevada and New Mexico will be uphill battles.

Taking those states away, (and giving her Michigan) shows that she is also behind McCain.

12. Polls have been wrong this WHOLE campaign, I can't see
why people on either side are still pulling them out as examples of reality.

They don't matter this campaign because pollsters cannot model how pissed people are and how that is affecting motivation to vote.

17. And the longer this primary season goes on
the more set in stone every side gets. There will be no winner if this goes til Aug so polling is useless.

11. It is even more meaningless considering...
McBush is sitting on his ass while Dems are rolling in the mud doing all they can to tear each other down.

This will shift significantly as soon as we have a common enemy. Of course, we do already - but we are too busy with our own turf wars to notice.

20. Even this poll shows that there is a LOT of uncertainty... With THIS poll Obama wins...

... if you add the "Strong and weak" delegate counts for each party for both polls (which are probably more indicative of where these candidates have more of a firm count, then you'd have:

Obama (142 + 33) = 175
McCain (115 + 55) = 170

and

Hillary (129 + 56) = 185
McCain (121 + 65) = 186

If you do it that way, then Hillary loses and Barack wins!

You can see how Hillary running solidifies those voting against her in the more Republican states, where Obama creates dissension.

27. She can't win, not after the Sniper Lie. The GOP would tear her apart.
Not only that, but it's an insult to McCain and all soldiers who have really suffered gunfire.

She needs to quit now, before she destroys the party.

30. all of these prognostications assume a fair election . . .
where votes are all properly counted as cast . . . I wouldn't bet a six-pack of Bud on that happening . . .

it's not who votes that counts; it's who counts the votes . . .
