This has to end NOW!
Hillary Clinton is on a desperate kamikaze mission. She has decided that if she can't win, no on else can either. We have seen signs of this earlier, with her semi-endorsement of McCain, mocking of Obama and his supporters, and other dirty tactics, and I don't think anyone can deny it today. She was caught in a bald faced lie and instead of admitting it she jumps in with Hannity and Rush and smears Obama, A FELLOW DEMOCRAT, over his pastor.

I am absolutely repulsed. If we want to have any chance of winning this fall, THIS HAS TO END.

Edited to add- 7 of eight of MT supers are currently uncommited. We have one Obama endorsement.

Most have indicated they will go along with the voters, though and the voters here are going with Obama.

25. The superdelegates know that they could end this right now and they haven't.
There must be some reason for this even if we haven't figured it out. The attitudes here on DU do not reflect the attitudes in the real world and most people are not as stressed out about this. I really don't think that this is going to cause any irreparable harm to the Democratic party.

34. I think most people in the real world are too stressed about...
...the economy and the war, etc. to follow every move in this race ~ but I am going to call Sen. Casey's office. Supers are really playing it safe ~ covering their political butts rather than looking out for the party imo.

11. Since she is hell-bent on destroying the Democratic party, she must be politically destroyed now....
.....it's a shame it has come to this... but she is the one that decided on the "scortched earth" policy here.

She must be brought down completely..... politically speaking, of course.

Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 03:52 PM by AllexxisF1
Until Hillary supporters finally learn to do some Math there is no unity. Unity is supporting our NOMINEE which is Barack Obama!!!

She is hurting the party, not me, not Obama or the rest of my fellow supporters.

YOU ARE! and SHE IS!

32. Math = 2025. Otherwise, your math is crap.
Nearsies only count in hand grenades and horse shoes.

This is neither.

Why so frantic, if your guy is really winning? Relax. Let it play out.

Unless you have no real confidence in your candidate, and want to disenfranchise the voters of the remaining states? Not very democratic, that.

35. "SCREW UNITY" Is that Obama's latest campaign slogan?
I am? I have always been a General Clark supporter and always will be. So you are a LIAR, most likely an intentional liar. Off to GTMO with the rest of you UNITY perverts. 40 years ago you would be rioting in the streets, now you sit in front of a computer. How fucking pathetic is that?

If you come up with one more syllable the screw unity thing might work. Maybe you could dance to it, or shout it at one another, like JOPA TERNO at Penn State football games.

Their purpose is to do what is in the best interests of the party, not let a candidate destroy it.

10. No, it doesn't. If Obama withdraws, it will, though.
Of course, you don't want him to do that, now, do you?

So don't--childishly--assume that the other side in this primary contest feels any differently than you do.

Let them fight it out, let the stronger one win. Stop whining. Let's count those votes. What ARE you afraid of?

If you think our party can't handle a little dissent, you don't think much of our party.

37. The stress comes from watching this Party-destroying debacle every day.
It's already over. Our last chance was on 3/4/08.
In 9 of the last 10 elections, the party that had a clear nominee first won the election in November.
2008 will just be a rerun of 1968, 1972 and 1980.

The stress ended for this voter on March 4th.
Hopefully we'll have a shot in 2012.

I posted a thread on March 6th, pleading for party unity. It got four replies.
People are so emotional about their candidates now, they're not seeing the gathering storm.
