The True Test of Presidential Leadership
A true leader steps up when the occasion demands it.

A true leader steps up, speaks out, even when he/she
feels uncomfortable about the issue.

The true leader, a true president does the right thing.

Senator Clinton, who has met Rev. Jeremiah Wright,
who sat next to him at the Prayer Breakfast for Bill Clinton
after his liason with Monica Lewinski was revealed,
Senator Clinton knew of Rev. Wright.

After the spectacle of Rev.Wright's sermonizing hit the airwaves,
Senator Clinton could have stepped up, addressed the media, and said:
"I know Rev. Wright. He was there for Bill and I in our hour
of utmost need, and provided prayers and support.
I may not approve of what he said in these snapshot videos,
but he is a good man, and done wonderful ministry in Chicago.
I can't explain these videos, but do not use these to smear
my worthy opponant. Barack Obama is better than this, and
deserves more respect than this. This has got to stop."

Her leadership on this would have elevated her much more
than her silence, and her subsequent comments today.

That would have proven her credentials to be president.
To take the high road.

I believe Sen. Obama took the high road with his speech
last Tuesday in Philadelphia. He took a difficult issue,
and met it head on. She also could have taken the high road.

I grieve the way this has panned out for her, and for our country.

2. Exactly.
Unfortunately, she can't see past the politics of smear to realize that doing the right thing for Obama would also have been doing the right thing for herself.

3. She wont admit her mistakes.
Is that a kind of President you want? Someone who won't take responsibility to her own mistakes? She wont admit the IWR was a mistake. She wont admit she used slimey tactics in this campaign. She wont admit she embellished/lied about the Bosnia trip, among other lies, such as Nafta, S-Chips..so on.

Is this the type of person you want as PRESIDENT? The Buck will stop at Hillary Clinton's desk...How will she handle it, if she can't take the responsibilty for her actions to date?

I have had enough of that Bullshit with Junior. He has yet to take responsibility for his actions. He is a liar. And his lies were deadly. Are you certain you want to place in that office another LIAR?

I DON'T

4. Dear Abby..
I didn't say I wanted her as president.

I said she failed an important test.
I was disappointed because I thought she
was better than that.

I am trying very hard to be objective,
and non-inflammatory.

If you pegged me as a Hillary supporter,
then I guess I did a good job. Fooled ya!

No, I can't vote for her.

If she gets the nomination, I'll be between
a rock and a hard place.... what to do?

11. I don't mind at all Abby...
I love it when folks get all passionate
against Hillary's hypocracy....

What infuriates me is that the press
doesn't get it...

6. Fortunately for once
A Candidates character has been revealed through the primary process. Her character has been revealed and it is sorely wanting.

I think we all know that she will not bow out gracefully.

8. Originally,
when she didn't say anything about Wright, I was very impressed with her restraint, and I thought that maybe I had misjudged her.

Then, she used it to (poorly) deflect negative attention that she was getting for lying. And I realized that I had actually held too high an opinion of her.

9. She didn't even have to say anything
She could have totally stayed out of the Wright "controversy" and just let it pass. Instead, she got in with Rush and Hannity and took a shot at Obama over it. I have lost all respect for her today. John McCain didn't even use this against Obama!

10. Hahaha, I can't even imagine Hillary ever saying anything that honorable to her opponent.
It's impossible at this stage. She will never say anything that helps Obama again.
