Vajpayee trampled by bullock cart economy

Bye bye Bush

This is the third right leaning government turned out. Blair is next, real soon and then Chimpy and the wingnuts. People aren't falling for that good news crap when the CEO makes millions and send your job to India, or you get no raise, or you lose your pension, or they cut your healthcare.

1. nonsense
Congress is right of center, but without that unpleasant neo-fascist element. and POTA, which is sort of the Indian equivalent of the Patriot Act, except India doesn't share America's liberal legacy.

anyway, funny thing is, in the regions w/ higher literacy rate, marxists AND bjp enjoyed resounding victories (see: karnataka, kerala, etc)

3. we'll see. congress may ally itself w/ left-leaning parties
Edited on Fri May-14-04 03:41 PM by mahayasmellbad
but don't tell me congress is all of a sudden a paragon of leftism without considering indira gandhi's long reign of error, muzzling the press, slaughtering sikhs on holy ground, and implementing a rather wacky, inhumane 'family planning' program. under sonia gandhi, though? who knows? she might be different . . . i certainly hope so. congress is equally corrupt as the bjp, but generally has a collective social conscience. i'm sure she has good intentions, but you know what they say about good intentions . . .

4. My original point was
that like the Bush admin the ruling government was very pro business and not for the prople. That is why they threw them out saying why are you building buildings for Dell and I have no road by my house. Too many people without roads. Same thing here, not enough people with good jobs. The governments and their business allies got a little too greedy. Bush is next after Blair.
