According to a Ramussen poll, "Stay in"
Edited on Wed Mar-26-08 02:36 PM by 4themind
From Ben smith's blog
<http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0308/Stay_in.html>
"A solid majority of Democrats, 62 percent, aren’t ready for either candidate to leave the race. Nationally, Clinton and Obama are running essentially even among likely Democratic primary voters in the Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll."...." Twenty-two percent (22 percent) of Democratic voters nationwide say that Hillary Clinton should drop out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. However, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that an identical number —22 percent — say that Barack Obama should drop out."

I'm not as surprised by the number that want appear to want the process to continue (although the percentage still rose my eyebrows), as that its finding that almost an equal number want obama to drop out now as compared to clinton.

EDIT: Here's another interesting part from ramussen:
"Interestingly, Republicans are more eager to see Clinton drop out rather than Obama. Forty-one percent (41%) of GOP voters say the former First Lady should withdraw while just 24% say the same about the Senator from Illinois. Among unaffiliated voters, 30% say Clinton should drop out while 25% say the same about Obama."

1. I *am* suprised by this poll
62% want it to go on... OK, that's too bad, but I believe it.

22% want Obama to drop out? Same percentage as those who want Clinton to drop out? That I wouldn't have guessed.

3. The polls are always a little behind.
Monday, most of the callers into WJ, for example, sounded frustrated on this issue and wanted the Democrats to "get their act together".

Several of them said they'd switch over to McCain if we don't get a candidate soon -- I'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist, iirc.
