I dreamed of John Kerry last night - a naughty dream!
Now I'm a little embarassed to confess this, because I never thought of Kerry that way. I think of him as smart, handsome, kind-hearted - but not really sexy.

I guess you could say he's growing on me.

Which makes me wonder about his potential with the general electorate. Remember how Clinton was such a sex symbol - Oprah even did a show where people talked about their fantasies about him (after he was elected).

I think John Kerry has real potential to be seen as a sexy, strong, silent type. He'll never be Elvis - but Gary Cooper?

I like this meme. A lot.

1. The younger, post-Vietnam Kerry who protested against the war when
he got back is sexy to me. Woof!!

2. Kerry did win many states because of women's votes
especially in the south where it was seen as clark and edwards having the geographic advantage . but kerry won in large part because he got a lot of women votes.

but part of kerry's appeal is that he is just himself. people criticize him and say he should do things to try to appear as the regular guy but he isn't a regular guy. they criticize his speaking style during speeches, his vacations, his pink tie etc. but he just goes on being who he is . but one thing he does is listen to others. he knows everyone didn't grow up like him and there are differences and he listens to others.

hearing supporters of other candidates criticize kerry and talk about how much better their candidate is you have to wonder how did kerry who is said to be boring, not likable, elitist etc end up beating all the rest.

6. why do we get on such topics?

It doesn't seem like things of this nature should have anything to do with politics, but they do -- certainly in elections to some extent.

7. Why do we bring up such topics? Because I'm
baby sitting and watching cartoons and I need something
more exciting. Is that reason enough? lol

8. of course...

...not criticizing it, just musing on why sex appeal is part of politics and the political process. This topic comes up in some form every election year.

9. "Appeal" is a part of everything.
Sex appeal is just one aspect of being appealing. Edwards exudes charm and sex appeal. And I think Kerry's got a quieter attraction (still waters run deep).

Kerry/Edwards '04. And beyond...

4. He's certainly married to a real woman.
Bit of a lionness that one, takes more than a nobody to get along.

I'm still a Deanocrat, but Kerry is starting to grow on me too.

10. A great pic of John Kerry in Vietnam in 1969 with his adopted puppy...

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., relaxes with his puppy V.C., while stationed in the Mekong Delta in 1969, during the Vietnam War. Kerry named his 'lucky charms' as his most prized possession _ his wedding ring, his dog tags and his camouflaged 'lucky hat' from Vietnam _ as well as a Bible given to him by fellow Vietnam veteran Max Cleland. Sweet dreams!

I remember there was a woman who published a book about women's dreams about Clinton. Some of them were more risque than others.
