6. Oh, they "get it" alright. Trust me - the HRC boosters know EXACTLY what base, irrational fears and
hatreds they are appealing to with such rhetoric - as does their candidate.

They simply don't care: "all is fair" when a Queen is on the way to her political entitlement, after all, even if that includes employing scarcely-disguised race-baiting in service of the "cause"....

I just thought it usually meant a street criminal-- I did read that the word originated in India for a band of highway robbers that strangled wealthy travelers.
