McCain's secret weapon to win the youth vote

"I hope this note finds you well. You may have already received the attached invitation from L.E. and Ginny Simmons, but I personally wanted to invite you to a reunion with Mitt Romney and the Romney for President National Leadership Team featuring the Beach Boys on Friday, May 9th in Houston, Texas.
The Governor is looking forward to seeing many of you again at the reunion and we hope that you can join us for this very special event.

In addition to the reunion, Governor Romney will be hosting a breakfast to kickoff his fundraising efforts for Senator John McCain on Saturday, May 10th. The breakfast will begin at 9:00am and I’ll forward the details as soon as they are finalized."

Yes nothing says fresh like the Beach Boys and Mitt Romney!!! Too bad Pat Boone can't make it.

Who was the group that sung the Flintstones theme song?

Ok, yes I realize this is a fundraiser for older people, but still, I couldn't resist...

3. They're making progress
Reagan's Sec of the Interior actually banned the Beach Boys from the 4th of July mall celebration, because he didn't want the hardcase riffraff the BBs would attract.

5. Hey, McCain't knew Fred personally...
The "Meet the Flintstones" theme song was not included in the opening and closing sequences until the third season. The lyrics were written by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, with music by Hoyt Curtin, who also composed the theme and background music for every episode of The Flintstones, as well as around 300 Hanna Barbera cartoons. The song was actually a reworking of sad music already composed for one of the episodes and was recorded with a 22-man jazz band and five singers.

6. What about Frankie and Annette?
Couldn't they make it there? You know how the 'young people' like those beach movies too. :)

11. Could backfire
Maybe the kids today get all jived about this "Rock and Roll" but more mature voters might see this as a sign of irresponsibility.
