$109 mil!!! Day-um!

Of course, that's not a lot compared to most of their new "have-more" friends like Murdoch and Scaife.

At least the Kennedys got rich doing honest work - - running booze!

2. Deep-sixing BCCI matters was GREAT for Clintons, not so much for the party, our nation, the world
though, eh?

Protecting BushInc, Jackson Stephens, Dubai and Saudi royals, Marc Rich, Bin Ladens, Aq Khan, James Bath and all the others involved in BCCI's illegal operations - there were tens of millions to be made for doing that.

9. Well, Poppy expected to be impeached when Dec 1992 BCCI report was released.
He did not WANT to be exposed through impeachment. Jackson Stephens, the man who brought BCCI into this country, had his boy Bill set to run and underwrote his primary campaign in 92.

What did Bill do with all those outstanding matters in BCCI when he took office and was HANDED that report?

Just think how nice it would be to have Babs Bush back in the White House as the adopted First Mother!

Wouldn't that be special?

17. *Gasp*
If people really ever looked at the Clintons and how they went from nowhere to the White House they would realize how easily this country was hijacked by the "neo-con artists" which now include the Clintons. Money is their god. Banks their temples. I heard someone in Washington say that once about them. The "neo-cons." Sums up most Republicans. And quite a few Democrats. The new party. The Republicrats.

And BCCI wasn't the only thing that Clinton swept under the rug. And as for the "right-wing conspiracy" it was just meant to keep Clinton in line. So he would keep sweeping it all under the carpet. People in this country are such fools. PT Barnum was right. There's a sucker born every minute.

8. I think Bubba would just step up his wheeling and dealing with dictators!
Being in office never stopped the Bushs from profiteering and that's where Bubba is getting his lessons!

15. Those Kennedys...
Actually the "rum runner" rumors were probably just that - rumors. Jospeh P. Kennedy came from money and did well for himself although of course having money to begin with helped. His major money came first from Hollywood, among other things he bought two studios which became RKO, and then later he bought Chicago's Merchandise Mart which produced quite a nice income which I believe I read somewhere provided the basis for the investments that the family lives off of.

If "ran rum" it most likely was to keep everyone he knew happy. And to ensure he had a drink wherever he was in the country.

Most of the Kennedys have gone into public service. It's very difficult to slam them, really, although quite a few do. Envy perhaps.

16. Joe Sr.
He made a killing on the stock market as well short selling before the crash. I read somewhere FDR made him the head of the SEC because he thought he needed someone who cheated the system to clean it up.
