1. The ease at which this woman can look someone in the eye and lie to them
is positively criminal.

The line between comedy and tragedy is pretty fine.

20. My favorite running joke is the accumulation of posts on DU trashing Clinton
and pretending they are reasonable people.

that went over so well. that's the one I recall as being my first :puke: hillary-humor moment.
stiff as a board and no sense of timing.

25. The best recurring joke is that Obama is any less deceptive and calculating
Edited on Sat Apr-05-08 03:56 PM by PurityOfEssence
Somehow he's a saint, even though he engages in precisely the same bullshit with aplomb: overstating his accomplishments, being on both sides of issues as it benefits him from moment to moment, appeasing corporate power, ducking as many controversial stands as possible and taking advantage of popular misrepresentations of his opponent's actions while playing to the cheap seats with sweet, vague emotional appeals. The idea of either of them claiming the moral highground is just plain silly.

Here's a hot one to mull over: it's going to be a hell of a lot harder to impugn HER patriotism in a general election than it will be his--whether fair or not--and that's definitely a tack the reactionaries always take.

Mercifully, the country is in such a mess that McCain will have a hard row to hoe, but never underestimate the guile and resources of entrenched power. Still, this race is VERY much up in the air.

27. Hillary supporters keep pushing this meme, but they can never back it up with specifics
And as far as the patriotism question is concerned, the Repigs tried that already and Obama took them apart.

Now imagine Hillary responding to charges of valor theft while running against an alleged war hero...
