1. There was an article on a goofball rightwing site today...
...saying that since Reagan was originally from Illinois, his death would automatically put that state back in play for Bush.

Uh huh. Whatever you say...

2. Problems for Bush in other areas as well.
A number of states that usually vote Democrat were responsible for Reagans winning, including New York, where Bush is doing dismally, and a number of recent pollsters are indicating that Bush will not get a boost as a result of Reagans death in any of the states that pushed Reagan to the top of the heap in the last weeks of the election ( it was only in the last few weeks that Reagan pulled ahead of Carter, and this because of the Iran hostage situation> without this, Reagan never would have become president.)

3. Illinois is solidly Democratic ...

Illinois is definitely NOT in play. This is a bunch of propaganda. To what ends, I don't know.

The states that are blue will STAY blue. The states that are red can be changed if we get our folk out to vote.

This is the fundamental election issue. We have a majority in ALMOST ALL states. We just don't do near as good a job at getting voters out to the polls.

The election will be won or lost based on our ability to register new voters.

4. The blue states are becoming getting bluer.
This is good news. Illinois needs to be safely in the bag for us.
