Give me one coherant reason why average folks shouldn't be bitter.
Just one. A coherant one...not a why we should vote for Hillary one...an unbiased, coherant one.

I'll start with an "elitist" one: a lot of the money that I worked my tail off for all my life has been lost in my stock market retirement account.

1. Well here's one:
No, wait, on second thought I can't offer any reason not to be bitter, given what BushCo has done to Americans.

7. Here are a few reasons

1. Bitterness solves nothing. Griping and moaning have yet to rebuild one broken down bridge, school, or park.

2. Average folks have the power to change this country. If middle class and poor Americans voted in the same percentages as rich Americans, there would be no such thing as the GOP.

3. Bitter is what the elite standard bearers like Bush, Rove, Fox News and fat cats galore want average folks to be. Bitter people are easy to take advantage of. If they can get us angry at immigrants, muslims, homosexuals, etc. we will be too busy to see our pockets being picked.

Median income has now FALLEN for the first time since WWII. There is a direct connection.

8. one coherent reason
I don't know if you will consider it coherent or not, but here it goes...

Being bitter causes unhappiness. It is better to recognize problems, and then try to solve them with a clear head. Easier typed then done.
