Why isn't "lunch bucket Democrats" considered as bad as "bitter?"
WTF is a "lunch bucket Democrat" supposed to mean? No, no, don't post back with a definition...I know exactly what it is intended to mean. But why isn't it considered as offensive (roflmao-funny if Hillary's campaign/media operatives weren't running away with it) as saying PA voters are "bitter?" Seriously, since when has "bitter" been a pejorative, or offensive in any way? But to call a hard-working Joe a "lunch-bucket Democrat" is okay? I don't get it..."Lunch bucket Democrat" is as demeaning and insulting as anything I've heard. It is patently elitist, the implication being that these poor Democrats can't afford to order out for sushi like "limousine liberals" or Capital Hillbots can. They work shitty jobs and can't go out for lunch like "cubicle Democrats" or "office Democrats," or whatever.

I'm so fucking sick of this shit. The Clinton's are determined to destroy the party at all costs, it would appear, since they can't have it all to themselves. Fuck 'em.

1. What brought this on?
Did somebody say it?

And bitter is a description of how somebody is feeling. "LBD" is a stereotype. Stereotypes are always demeaning.

2. I think "lunch bucket Democrat" is the most demeaning shit a Dem could ever be called
It is sooooo condenscending. You have these two YALE law school grads, 109 million dollar, Walmart board sitting, career politicians calling working Democrats "lunch bucket Democrat". What a crock of elitist bull crap. These two career politicians are SOOOO out of touch with regular people it is sickening.

3. I think Lunch Bucket Democrat is demeaning to me
I take a lunch bucket (a cooler) to work every day, and the food inside isn't the kind of things served at $2,000 a plate donor dinners. Hell, for that kind of money I could afford the damned restaurant the catered food came from.

5. But that's the point. Those whose standard of living has tanked are justified being bitter (angry)
That's the point Obama was making - that we *all* (save for the upper 1%) have a right to be frustrated, angry or just downright BITTER with the way that OUR representatives in D.C. are ignoring the needs of "working Americans."

We have to stop getting angry at "the other" and find common values and goals.

6. Dad used to call it a "Dinner Bucket"
Back in da day...when rocks were pebbles, the Grand Canyon was a mud hole, and dinosaurs walked the earth with Adam and Eve.
