I believe in Obama.
When I see him on the tele speaking, I believe him. When I read his speeches, I believe he sees the 'bigger picture'. When I read about his policies and his own beliefs, I take heart and have a certain hope for my Country. When I read what other DU'ers say about him, their impressions, I believe they believe in him too.

He may be too nice for this business...this morning I watched him talking about the 'bitter' comment.
And I honestly believed he was about to say..."dont fall for this bullshit, this same old crap you have been spoon fed for years...no more, not this time"

He has my vote, my support and my daughter likes him too.

1. You know he wanted to say that; he used the word 'rhetoric' instead.
And do you know what? Joe Scabrous had the balls to say he's too 'cerebral' like that's a bad thing. After the past 7 years, cerebral sounds awfully fine to me!

9. So if you believe what he says you are OK with him being
anti America, doesn't care for whites, has attended a church because it's beliefs coincide with his. You have also probably believe all the lies he spouts, doesn't' take money from the oil companies, well, that isn't exactly a lie, it's the I'll tell them that knowing that none of the candidates do because it's against the law. If you want to hear more lies, read his books, and decide which is the truth and which isn't..

13. Have you read any of BO books or read the snippets on DU
or watched preacher Wright if that's not hate I don't know what else to call it. Plus Michelle has been on TV with her version of not proud of America. Her college thesis was on her dislike of America. Don't blame me. I just feel really uncomfortable with having a man like that with power of this country. There's alot more dirt out there that the MSM isn't reporting yet. If he gets the Nom. you can be sure it will come out.

21. Anyone can take a few paragraphs out of context
Have you read the entire book, or are you just posting what some right-winger has highlighted for you? I'd be very interested in reading what preceded those quotes you pulled, and in what context they were written.

20. Hope
Obama has done the impossible. He has given us hope when our country is at war and we are in a recession. He helped me feel alive again about politics, after something died in me when I heard that no Gore did not win Florida, George Bush has won. No matter what anyone says, he has given me back my willingness and desire to participate in the process again.

22. Faith is nice. Reality is essential.
I don't "believe" in politicians. They aren't prophets. They aren't magicians, shamans, or priests, recreating reality from eloquent speeches. Some certainly bear some similarities to televangelists, it's true, but that similarity doesn't earn my respect.

I reserve my support for those who earn it with a platform I like, and a record of walking the talk that earns my vote.

Obama loses on both counts.
