14. They can't find real dirt on Obama
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/4/15/121738/882/161/496129

The above post describes 4 newly released polls. They show no net impact from the attacks against Obama about the "bitter" comments. The changes from the previous polls are within the margin of error - some say Obama gained a couple points, some say Obama fell a couple points.

The voters respond with a big "yawn."

What strikes me is how little of substance they can find to use to attack Obama. They attack him with what his wife says and his minister says. They attack him because one of the many people who donated to his past campaigns turned out to be a sleazeball.

Then they get a secret recording of a closed door meeting with big donors in San Francisco, and the worst thing they can find him saying is that people are bitter and becoming more religious. Obama must be really something if they can't find anything worse on him.

It reminds me of the time J. Edgar Hoover sent out a team of agents to get dirt on Bobby Kennedy - and they had to come back and tell Hoover that they couldn't find anything.

(Remind me to never run for office until my closet is cleaned of skeletons).

18. Woo-hoo!
It seems like there's been no negative impact nationally...hopefully PA will start moving his way again just a little bit. If the Quinnipiac poll today ends up being right I will be happy with that, although I think it's overly optimistic.
