Edited on Tue Apr-15-08 12:52 PM by smiley_glad_hands
She'd rather eat her own and trash her party than step aside gracefully. She can't win. It's an all or nothing campaign for her at this moment.

Damn the party, damn Dean, damn a dem congress, damn progressives, damn the grass roots for a generation or two.

Hilliary, when all that is gone, what will be left for you or for any other dem?

1. Didn't she cross that line back when she said McCain was a better choice than Obama?
She's just diggin that hole even deeper now.

21. Yes, and went on to repeat it many times. And then, tossing grenades at Gore and Kerry?
There are no more "last straws."
I've gone from a grudging admiration for her to disillusionment, multiple times, to outright
disdain for everything she has to say.

Fool me once, ... umm, uhnr.

She needs to change the (D) after her name to another letter.
Maybe she should buy a vowel.

25. Even that was nothing next to 'bittergate.'
Were she to become the Dem candidate, I would now find it much harder to hold my nose and vote for her. I probably would still do it; but I would have to motivate myself by thinking about McCain and convincing myself anew that she would be somewhat better than he would.

which is most likely safely in the red column... have you considered voting Green for that office?

I have. Never done it before... voted straight ticket all my life... but this time... I dunno...

8. The candidate who trashes Richardson for no loyalty turns out to be the least loyal
to the party, to the people, to our ideals.

Odd she can't see that. And her supporters can't either.

15. She doesn't even need to drop out.
She can sit on the side lines and if anything happened then she would be there. Huckabee is doing this right now. He never dropped out but if something happened to McSame then Huckabee would be there.

But this with Hillary is only supporting McSame and her supporters are doing the same thing by supporting her.

17. I wish and hope you are right, but so many seem to still be
polling in her favor that I fear you are wrong. I'm personally just amazed. But hey I was amazed that Bush got so much when it was clear he was a liar and idiot. Doesn't say much good about "most" people in our country, that's for sure, when people like Clinton or Bush or McCain can stay so high in the polls in spite of their line crossings.

....I can't support her - no matter how much I'd have liked to. I guess I'd hold my nose and vote for her over McSame if she's the nom but I see little diff between the two of them.

I agree smiley_glad_hands. She panders every which way and is sincerely out of touch with her base. She pretends to be everything to all, and loses sight of what it means to be a real Democrat.

she crossed a line with most Obama supporters, who consider running against him an underhanded political trick.

Most Democrats understand a candidate using an opponent's boneheaded words against him.

32. find one example in american politics ever where a candidate has
endorsed the abilities of a pug over their dem opponent. You will never find it. She is beyond the pale but if you don't want to see that, that's okay. the voters will take care of this problem for all of us.

By the by, that 100 mayors for clinton rally only generated 19. and, since they are only 100 out of about 2800, small potatoes.

That's not the same as endorsing a republican candidate. And yes, that is indeed what she did.

37. She incorporated it into a speech to show off her foreign policy cred.
Furthermore, it speaks to our ability to trust her. It also proves how utterly clueless she and the people she surrounds herself with are about modern information technology and how quickly something like that can be vetted. Finally, it's just plain weird. :eyes:

And don't hand me the "oh it's just politics" garbage when your candidate does something shitty and then turn around and tell me mine has to live up to a higher standard. I hope Barack throws the entire kitchen at her, never mind the kitchen sink.
