SNIP..."Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean will headline a public rally Sunday here for a number of area Democrats.

Organizers say the rally for "Democracy in America" will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Regional Arts Commission, 6128 Delmar Boulevard in St. Louis.

Dean - who was last in town last winter when he was still a candidate for president - is expected to emphasize his support for various Democrats, including the party's likely presidential nominee, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts.

Locally, Dean has endorsed state Treasurer Nancy Farmer in her bid for the U.S. Senate, and 72nd District state representative candidate Maria Chappelle-Nadal.

Earlier Sunday, Dean is attending a private fund-raiser for Farmer in University City.

2. Now This IS Interesting!
Where is Dick Gephardt?

Seems like Gep would be the natural headline at a MO rally, wouldn't you say? Especially one in St Louis, the city where Gep was born.

4. Oh, I agree! I just find it interesting, especially w/ the "Gep 4 VP" talk
If Dean is a bigger draw in Missouri than Gep, then how can anyone claim that Gep will deliver MO in the GE?

Seems like Dean's potential VP status just keeps gaining in stature.

6. I had not noticed that. Good thought.
What is the "Democracy in America." There is apparently an activist group by that name. I thought at first it was Democracy for America, but that is not what it says.
