Why are dems bitter with Hillary? Let me tell you..
Edited on Wed Apr-16-08 10:57 AM by Bensthename
In the back of all dems minds we all have some "bitter" feelings about the 2000, and 2004 elections. Robbed on the 2000. But 2004 was a real smear on Kerry's character. The GOP turned Kerry's war record in to something it wasn't. Also, even though Kerry demolished Bush in the debates, the GOP ran nasty sound bites out of context and brought in actors for anti Kerry commercials that were actors and not sincere.. They also used scare tactics and questioned his patriotism to no end..

I am still "bitter" from last election as are most dems. And what do we have now? Another candidate and campaign like the GOP from 2004, but this time it's name is Clinton.

Thus the reason for Obama's momentum before "bitter" and now after..

People are tired of that crap.

1. You're anti-immigrant, and anti-people who aren't like you, because you're bitter.
According to Lord Barack, many of the peasants are bitter.

3. Being bitter over Clinton is a loser's game
You are wasting energy.

Use your energy to fight FOR Obama AGAINST McCain. McCain is the real opponent.

The stronger Obama looks against McCain the less likely it is that anyone will pay attention to Hillary.

4. A person can do both.
Suppressing or denying emotions is not healthy.

Having said that, your message to move on to the next thing that needs to be done is well taken.

Even Clinton serves to strengthen Obama with her tactics. Maybe she's a political genius who knew that would happen? She's supported Obama all along! :-)

8. That's what Obama said. Your anti-immigrant sentiment is what makes you so bitter.
You've seen the full quote, haven't you?

Obama: "And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

Obama made a problematic judgment call in trying to explain working class culture to a much wealthier audience. He described blue collar Pennsylvanians with a series of what in the eyes of Californians might be considered pure negatives: guns, clinging to religion, antipathy, xenophobia.

10. Oh, THAT. That's actually not what he said, though, let's untwist your logic
he said they are bitter because of the economic situation, and cling to guns and anti-immigration... as in those being defense mechanisms.

11. He was talking on the feelings of others. Where I live that is a true statement.
Here in Oklahoma. Immigration and war are the two biggest topics.
Some are bitter. If you call some one an asshole, lazy, bitter, etc.. Does not make you the same. That arguments has no wheels to get traction.

7. You are still
using peasant & still sound like a republican, even though everyone can see through the RW spin. It must suck to hold to a RW talking point & remain irrelevant. I wish you continued good luck with Senator '109 million average joe/jane' Clinton.

9. I'm bitter that there are those in the democratice party
who have the audacity to speak for me.

You may be bitter with Hillary and "tired of that crap", but you have no right to speak for me. I am a member of the democratic party and tired of the some other members making blanket statements that I don't agree with and attributing them to me.
