OMFG Barack got asked hard questions!!!!!
This is only a glimpse of what the media coverage will be like in the GE if Obama is the nominee and the internets are going INSANE. Did you guys learn nothing from Kerry in 04?!

Welcome to reality Obama supporters. Democrats get beat up for months straight while repukes get a free pass. I can only imagine what this place will look like if Obama comes out the nominee. Send as many emails to the MSM as you want, it won't help your candidate.

5. Because we wanted to see a policy debate and instead were treated the
same gaffes that have been rehashed over and over again.

7. Because we wanted a debate not a fucking GOP ad!
And you should be as well because Clinton lost just as much tonight. The news is already filling with her comments about supporting the nominee.

It is all a bunch of shit. And you know it!

19. Even some regular Hillary supporters commented on the Obama ambush
More than anything, the Debate was filled with Joe McCarthy type bull shit questions for both candidates. It was a joke.

4. There is a difference between 'hard' and 'asinine '.
What they asked was asinine and more akin to push polling. There wasn't any hard questions. I would welcome hard substantial questions. How many times has anyone asked the most important question of our time 'What are you going to do about global warming"?

6. "What color is your belly button lint?" is a hard question?
Well, it is if you went to a debate expecting to be asked real questions.

Nobody got "hard" questions. They both got "tabloid" questions.

12. Any Dem on the national stage can answer questions about trade, health care, Iraq, etc.
Unfortunately it's the bullshit little things that bring us down in the GE. For Kerry it was swiftboat, for Dukkakis Willie Horton and the tank.

Can Obama stand up to the petty bullshit?

22. Well, he's got a great lead so far...
He's winning the primary overall by roughly 10 points and he's polling well above Clinton in "vs. McCain" GE polls. The SDs seem to agree, because he's enjoying an almost 3/1 advantage in SD endorsements since Super Tuesday.

I'm happy with the current standings.

that the amazing frontrunner of our party continues to lose big states and nationally televised debates.

28. As long as he wins a lot of smaller states and a majority of the votes,
he can lose a few big states and a ridiculous "debate" or two...

By the way, Texas is a "big state", and Obama won it...and it's silly to think that a big blue state that tipped toward Clinton in the primary would go red in the HE if Obama is the nominee.

Sorry, I'm still extremely pleased with where Obama is standing.

Obama wouldn't even be a household name if the media hadn't attacked Hillary for months upon months in order to make this a horserace.

It's your turn to take the media bullshit. Enjoy it.

But at least you're admitting it's the media's bullshit--that puts you head and shoulders above the some of the other posters around here. And if what I've read about ABC News already is an indication of what's to come, I'm going to enjoy "taking the heat" A LOT.

11. You don't go 50 minutes into the debate before reaching a policy issue. This was a setup and
Hillary spent little time exploiting every opening. In addition, as is customary, she had nothing but kind words for McCain AND will find a way to utilize GWB if president - NO HILL supporter can spin that one.

15. He wasn't asked anything. They made insinuated attacks that parallel
a cordinated effort with rightwing talk shows. They are going to attack any nominee on bullshit garbage like that because the media is different today and isn't an honest broker for debates.

20. I don't think the questions were hard... they were inane.... Obama and Hillary did fine....
...but whole issues weren't covered....

Global Warming
Trade
Abortion Rights
North Korea
Darfur

Just to name a few.

Obama was fine. So was Hillary. ABC did a disservice to America, by spending one throw-away minute on gas prices.... and 10 fucking minutes on flag pins.

Your spin is incorrect... the questions weren't "hard"... they were stupid. And they were stupid to YOUR candidate as well.
