One thing I will say the Hillary campaign has done a great job with this election....

Is lowering expectations.

This is the ONLY REASON they are still running.

In this regard, I believe they have done a better job than Obama's campaign (although this is really the only thing I can think of).

Originally, they did a terrible job. Since they were so positive they couldn't lose, once they finally did everyone went crazy.

Ever since then though, they have been getting better and better (at lowering expectations).

I don't think any other campaign could have lost 11 straight contests by over 17% in each one and actually stayed in the race. They made up excuses for literally every single state on why they lost, and the media bought into it so they could keep the story going. When Obama wins Mississippi by 30% or whatever, they tell the media "well, this is no surprise he was suppose to win". Anyone who thinks logically will say "WHO CARES if he was suppose to win?? He won, by a massive margin, thats all that matters. He picked up a lot of delegates!"

The problem is most people are too ignorant to understand that winning a state like Georgia by 30% is actually a lot more important in the long run than winning Ohio by 7 delegates. Its very simple to understand, but unfortunately the media doesn't want to inform people of this.

For the March 4th primaries, they did a great job lowering expectations. Even though I think she ended up picking up something like 2 delegates the entire night and Obama picked up more in WYOMING a few days later, the media focused exclusively on Ohio and Texas. The media made such a big deal about it because they basically said that Obama should win every state since he had more money. This is of course absolutely ridiculous, but it worked.




Now with Pennsylvania coming up, I have a feeling Hillary will win by about 10% and Hillary's campaign and the media will make it into some type of huge comeback, even though she was always favored there and they know that North Carolina will cancel out any gains she makes in Pennsylvania.



I believe what Obama's campaign really needs to work on going into PA voting is really lowering expectations. The Clinton campaign has really raised them already (for Obama).


This whole thing is about perspective.

What Obama's campaign should do to lower expectations is simply tell the truth: she needs to win by something like 34% to stay on track to catching up to him in delegates.

be surprised if he won PA, maybe not by much, but win it anyway. Who knows....

Can work in the Primaries...however crying, shouting, pretending your the church lady isn't going to work against John McCain and the Rethug army.
