Now Hillary is demanding a debate in Indiana
I see what they are trying to do. She's going to demand a debate in every state that has yet to vote, including Puerto Rico. 21 debates are not enough? That's many more than the Republican field had, and last time I checked they had TV's in Indiana too.

Obama should not agree to anymore debates unless the moderators agree to only ask questions about policy issues: no tabloid nonsense, and that includes the tabloid "gotcha" stories going around about Hillary too.

Clinton Pushing For Indiana Debate With Obama
By the Associated Press
4/19/2008

The Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign is pushing for more debates with Barack Obama, accepting offers Friday for matchups in Indiana ahead of the state's May 6 primary.

The move by Clinton's campaign came two days after a prime-time debate between the presidential contenders that drew the largest television audience of any this election cycle.

Obama indicated the following day that he thought the 21 debates among the Democratic candidates had been enough.

But Clinton's campaign tried to apply some pressure Friday for more debates by taking up an offer from the private Indiana Debate Commission, which has proposed an April 24 debate. It also said it would work with Gary Mayor Rudy Clay for one in that city, but he backed off that plan on Friday.

"There remain a good number of undecided voters and they want more information and they are tuning in in unprecedented numbers," said Howard Wolfson, Clinton's national communications director. "If the American people are as engaged as they are and as interested as they are in this race and these issues, they deserve to have the candidates come before them and take tough questions."

the general public wouldn't be invited to attend a university-sponsored debate.

Anywho, University students would be far more likely to ask questions that would be relevant to ALL Americans then some idiotic media shill.

More misogyny from the Obama lovers. That is what is fucking up the Democratic Party and it alienates over 1/2 of the potential voters in the country. But if your goal is to elect a Republican whose supporters are all for that kind of nonsense then by all means, keep at it.

state that hilary wouldn't debate Jonathan Tasini in 2006..the anti-war candidate. What was hilary :scared: of?

"Tasini has scheduled an announcement for Tuesday morning in New York City, setting up a campaign that could put unexpected pressure from the left on Clinton, the unannounced frontrunner for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination who until recently has been one of the strongest Democratic backers of the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Tasini plans to campaign in support of the call by U.S. Representative John Murtha, D-Pennsylvania, for the rapid withdrawal of U.S. troops from that Middle Eastern country.

"Senator Clinton is out of step with the values of a majority of New Yorkers. While a majority of New Yorkers support an end to the war, Senator Clinton has repeatedly voiced her support for a war that continues to accumulate unacceptable costs, in terms of American and Iraqi lives and our own government spending," explained Tasini, decribing a central theme of a campaign that is also expected to advocate for fair trade, economic reforms and universal health care.

Clinton has felt little heat so far from her most prominent Republican challenger, Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, whose campaign so far has been so hapless that some top Republicans are now calling for her to quit the race and instead run for state Attorney General.

But Tasini, who served for more than a decade as head of a national union and has since worked as president of the Economic Future Group, poses a far different and potentially more interesting challenge to Clinton. An author and frequent guest on television public affairs programs, Tasini runs a well-regarded progressive blog, Working Life, at his www.workinglife.org website, where his reviews of trade, health care and labor policy issues have drawn a broad following."

He got his ass kicked in the last one, so you'd think he'd jump at a chance to show a better performance.

Besides, more and more people are tuning into the debates. The public is engaged. The next debate, if Obama accepts, sure to be the highest rated debate yet. More people in the process. Let the process continue. Unless he's just not up to it. That's how it will seem.

There's no such thing as too much democracy.

He should debate at every opportunity, if he is the one, with the message. Scrutiny and hard questions should not be something he fears, if he is the real thing.

74. that was a very fair debate... clinton, a former clinton staffer, and a
mccain shill all piling on. Oh yeah that was fair. I'm not surprised that you loved it, but the fact is hillary is not going to be the nominee, and Obama shouldn't contribute to her campaign by giving her a free platform to attack him for what others have said or done.

You win Hypocrite of the Week, hands down. If mere associations were enough to disqualify a candidate, Hillary should have been out of the running from the start. She is, afterall, related to the man who singlehandedly gave over control of Congress to Newt Gingrich. She can bloody up Obama, per Rush Limbaugh's instructions, but it doesn't change the fact that she will never be the nominee...not now, not 2012, nor 2016. She's done, and may not even hold her Senate seat.
