When Obama loses decisively Tuesday which excuse will his supporters use?

Tomorrow Tuesday April 22nd Hillary will be buoyed in a decisive victory over Obama, and the comeback

will be reality. Obama supporters will struggle to reconcile a defeat with their view of The One, and

if history is any indication they will use one of these excuses. If I missed one let us know.

To put it bluntly, the next president will be elected by them: the outcome of Tuesday's primary will depend on whether they go for Hillary or Obama, and the outcome of the general election will depend on whether enough of them vote for McCain. A lot of them will: white men cannot be relied on, as all of us know who have spent a lifetime dating them. And McCain is a compelling candidate, particularly because of the Torture Thing. Hillary's case is not an attractive one, because what she'll essentially be saying (and has been saying, although very carefully) is that she can attract more racist white male voters than Obama can. Nonetheless, and as I said, she has a case....

And if he does not win PA, it will be a lot closer than you'd like. She won't gain many delegates, and he'll still have a commanding lead.

Hillary's campaign started out 25 points ahead. The more time they spend anywhere the more votes they lose. Doesn't that tell you something?

So if Hillary wins "decisively" to me that would be +25

anything else is almost losing, and anything under that won't change the delegate lead.

The best excuse is always the truth.

That would require her not only catching Obama in delegates, but exceeding him. She can't do that at all, let alone in PA.

The real question is how Hillary can continue to run a campaign without money.

The most recent one is Pennsylvania doesn't count, it's Oregon.

Hillary had her chance. The American people have participated in democracy and have participated her right back into the Senate, where she belongs.

If and when Hillary wins tomorrow, I will assume that the voters of Pennsylvania preferred her to Obama.

it has all but melted away...what do you mean by decisive? Obama has given her a run for her money...what there is of it.

The only expectation this Sen. Obama supporter has is that Hillary would/should win PA. If she wins by 60-65% good on her; if she wins less than that, I expect her to either drop out of the race or the SDs to put an end to this mess. The Democrats need to get on with the business of trouncing John McWar ASAP.

considering Clinton has the state political machine behind her, as well as demographics that highly favor her strengths, it'd be practically a miracle if obama can pull off a win there.

not by any margin wide enough to have any hope of closing in on Obama's lead.

I think a significant factor of Hillary's victory will be her established "brand name" and despicable negative campaigning, both of which are the only reasons she has prevented Obama from pulling even further ahead than he already is. Her positions and her character, which are the main factors which should be emphasized when choosing a candidate are taking a back seat to issues which really have no bearing on how she would run the country (at least not in a positive way).

And they don't count.
