1. No ...
... but I have been called a kool-aid drinker, a cultist, a traitor to my gender, and an idiot who is only supporting Obama because "people who are of the same skin color" tend to support him (even though I'm not black).

Does any of that count?

-Sexist
-Homophobe
-Kool-Aid Drinker
-Cultist
-White-guilt-ridden

4. Never by a Republican. Yes, by a DUer, who was so ignorant....
that he didn't know that "if it's yellow, let it mellow; if it's brown, flush it down" is about SHIT, not race.

9. I think it is really disgraceful that any Dem would call you that word.
Just because you are not voting the way they want you.

12. Do you also think it is disgraceful that any Democrat would call another sexist
simply because the latter is not voting the way the former would prefer?

"Obama is only successful because he's black" = Racist.
"Hillary is throwing the china" = Not sexist.

You can find valid and invalid examples of racism and sexism in this campaign. There are Obama and Clinton supporters who like to use race or sex as a shield.

8. Called racist by a Republican?
Sure have. It was back during the Clarence Thomas hearings when a Republican suggested I was a racist because I opposed putting Thomas on the Supreme Court. My response was to tell him that I had no problem with a black man (or woman) serving on the Supreme Court (and listed several whose nominations I would wholeheartedly support). My problem with Thomas, I explained, was with his ideology, not his skin color.

As far as on DU, I don't remember any instances, though I have taken part in some discussions about racial issues in my previous incarnation on DU. Some of those discussions could get heated, but as I recall, the people involved managed to back off and explain their positions or tone down the dialogue. (That's something I wish some on DU currently could do.)

15. I have never been called a racist by anyone in my entire life.
Not until this primary. I responded to the poster who accused me of being racist with a simple :wtf:

Incidentally, in my little rural town, I spoke with a long-time native Oregonian, who said she's catching the same kind of crap and so are her friends, that if they don't support Barack, it must be because deep down, in their heart of hearts, they're racist. She was angry about it, too, because she's been fighting with her racist brother all her life to get him to change his attitudes.

We're going to lose a lot of ground if this keeps up. Remember bush "the uniter"? Obama's theme is "unity." :eyes:

never been called a sexist by one either. I have been called an asshole, a smart-ass, and one time, someone even called me a troll, but that's about it. Oh yeah, I've never been called a "supposed democrat" either, but I think that one is beyond the pale...
