I think Obama supporters have been soft on Hillary.
And I don't think the Republicans will be so generous. They have more than enough material to smear her back into the stoneage. I think she would be completely destroyed in the GE.

1. That's one of the reasons we are FOR Obama
Because he HAS pulled punches.

He HAS taken the high road.

He HAS stuck to the issues.

He HAS kept it positive.

He survived her...he can DEFINITELY survive McSame.

2. I absolutely agree.
Just think what would happen if she tried to portray McCain as a warmonger, now that her own inclinations are out? And all those 'gaffes'? Fuggetabout 'em!

"In addition, if Iran were to become a nuclear power, it could set off an arms race that would be incredibly dangerous and destabilizing because the countries in the region are not going to want Iran to be the only nuclear power."

Biggest. 'Gaffe'. Ever.

She clearly hasn't passed the Commander-in-Chief threshold. She needs to be more fully vetted.

4. The Republicans can destroy anybody -
if they don't have enough material to smear somebody, they'll make it up. That's what we have to be ready for - regardless of who the candidate is.

5. Hillary has been vetted over and over and over again.
Has Obama? I think not.

15. Hillary has not been "vetted" for eight years
With her we'd get all the baggage of pre 2000 plus all the lovely new surprises post 2000. The idea that she's been fully vetted is ludicrous.

6. We're not out to destroy a fellow Democrat and the Democratic Party.
That's the difference between Hillary and Obama. It's all about Hillary for her.

It's all about US for Obama.

7. Both candidates want to get into a position to change things -- they're Dems
Obama running at all when the party was a shoo-in could be interpreted as "out to destroy a fellow Democrat and the Democratic Party," too.

Getting swept up in the illusions of politics will break your heart.

10. Can you imagine the cries of sexism if Obama supporters
were any rougher on Hillary. No thank you. She can have her free pass.

12. Exactly how I feel about it
If she pulls this off by some unseen miracle, they are waiting in the wings to destroy her. Who know how much dirt they have dug up and have ready since the Clintons left office. You can watch the Repubs pundits on TV and see for sure who they want to run against in the fall. They are so obvious about it. Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan are the best examples.

and I don't think all the General Election what-ifs and "but the Republicans would..." arguments should have a bearing on your choice for either candidate. There are just too many chains of hypothetical what-ifs to claim that those types of arguments definitely favor one candidate over another. The General Election polling we're seeing now, during a heated Democratic primary, will be completely different than the polling we see after we have finally chosen our Democratic candidate.

I don't buy this type of argument about either candidate. There are much better criteria on which to base your choice of candidate.
